Iv watched Sancho off the ball he`s got no fight in him mentally and physically weak, wont track back and making a lot of bad decisions with the ball, once he`s made a bad pass he then goes downhill either from dwelling on it or from groans from the crowd. Simply not the standards the club want going forward next season. Elanga..what's happened to him? there was promise at first he could take players on but its a very long time since we`ve seen it and another for the out door.
Hate to say it but this injury list will now kill off our season. Pissed off.

We all know this, but the shallow squad, packed full of mediocrity, glaringly highlights the fact that the most important result for us this season will be the outcome of the sale process.

Why has he gone back to Maguire ? Seemed to be frozen out practically then returned. Same with McTominay, scores 2 for Scotland and then welcomed back again. These players will get him sacked.

One thing I noticed about sancho(that you won’t really see on tv)is that when the team was looking for an outlet he purposely drifted 10 meters in from the touch line which put one of the opposition players in line of sight(making himself unavailable). He was basically hiding from the ball and did this on numerous occasions. I am not singling him out for last night but he just doesn’t have the mentality to be a top player. Antony is the exact opposite in the flesh I imagine? He seems to always show for the ball.100% Even though he will be feeling the pressure with the price tag etc. he is always up for the challenge. Antony always looks pissed off when he is hooked but sancho looks relieved.

Telling Sancho to perform won’t make any difference. He’s a busted flush. Sad sad state of affairs. It truly is. It’s Gary Birtles levels of former class turned to complete shite.

Also, where is Fred? Could have used his energy last night in the second half.

For any old fart on here who remembers, that felt more like Galatasary 3-3 than Bayern 2-3. At least we had the excuse of playing a very good Bayern team, and having a man sent off. Galatasary were shite and the game should have been seen out and then some. I'm not just defending ETH, and if someone makes a wrong call then they are open to critisicm, but it's very harsh to gave him shit about the subs. He literally just got dogs abuse for not making a change at 2-0 which ended in Rashford out for weeks, so he does make changes to try and avoid burning players out and them getting injured, and gets shit for throwing the lead away? I'm sorry you can't have it both ways, he can't make changes and not make changes at the same time. That's the risk you take when you sub players and the bench options are shite (as ours are), he either gets the shite on the pitch and hopes for the best, or leaves the stars out there and equally hopes for the best. If he'd not made the changes and Martial for instance got injured, he'd be getting it in the neck from the same people who are giving him both barrels for making changes. Making subs is one of the few significant things a manager can do that really impacts a game when it’s started. Ten Hag should have made changes last night of course because up until recently his subs have positively changed games. But last night’s ones were poor. 3 at one time didn’t work. Elanga should have been Pellestri. Malacia should have been hooked for Dalot (or fucking Butland, he was that bad) and Antony should have stayed on, the reasoning seemed to be the ref said he was close to a red. Bizarre. Fred should have come on when they got a grip on midfield as Eriksen seems well off the pace, understandably. The changes needed to be made, it’s just he made the wrong ones imo.

Antony always looks pissed off when he is hooked but sancho looks relieved. I always always think this. Sancho’s attitude is fucked and he will not recover I think. The wages he’s on leaves him with zero motivation to. One of the reasons I absolutely won’t have any Antony slander. He’s been here 9 months and he’s more game than any other player we’ve got probably.

Schmeichel talks waffle sometimes but he's right on Sancho here.... Jadon Sancho has an opportunity to step up in the absence of Manchester United top-scorer Marcus Rashford but, says Peter Schmeichel, the England forward was invisible against Sevilla in the Europa League. The 23-year-old has five goals in 29 appearances this season but missed a swathe of the campaign and has consistently struggled to replicate the form he showed for Borussia Dortmund at Old Trafford. Schmeichel admits he saw nothing on Thursday night to suggest Sancho is any closer. "I fail to remember anything he did well and that's the sad truth," Schmeichel told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast. "There is nothing on his shoulders - no-one is expecting miracles. He's one part of a team that is supposed to be able to attack from either side, to mix it up and offer variety in their play. "He has a great opportunity at Old Trafford with a manager who believes in him and wants to help him. "Now he needs to go on the pitch and show that."

Not that bizzare when you consider he was on a yellow and then decided to take a wild swipe at the back of Acuna's legs which could easily have seen him sent on that incident alone. Agree with the rest though, Dalot should have come on for Malacia and Pellistri all day long over Elanga 🤦♂️

Why didn’t the Sevilla coach sub Acuna in that case? I imagine he was told the same thing. Ten Hag was lucky he wasn’t manager of early 20s Rooney, he’d have never finished a match.

Ten Hag wants wide players to position themselves there. "In the half space"/"minimum width". The opposite to Guardiola.

Absurd that people are defending the subs. They were abysmal and there’s no two ways about it.

We'll never know what was said will we and what Sevilla decide to do with their players i couldn't care less but i'm just saying i can understand why he chose to bring him off, he's not the first manager to do that when a player is treading a fine line, but the other decisions though, Elanga etc were wank as you said.
