Schmeichel talks waffle sometimes but he's right on Sancho here.... Jadon Sancho has an opportunity to step up in the absence of Manchester United top-scorer Marcus Rashford but, says Peter Schmeichel, the England forward was invisible against Sevilla in the Europa League. The 23-year-old has five goals in 29 appearances this season but missed a swathe of the campaign and has consistently struggled to replicate the form he showed for Borussia Dortmund at Old Trafford. Schmeichel admits he saw nothing on Thursday night to suggest Sancho is any closer. "I fail to remember anything he did well and that's the sad truth," Schmeichel told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast. "There is nothing on his shoulders - no-one is expecting miracles. He's one part of a team that is supposed to be able to attack from either side, to mix it up and offer variety in their play. "He has a great opportunity at Old Trafford with a manager who believes in him and wants to help him. "Now he needs to go on the pitch and show that." When’s his contract up ? Think 3 years

Bruno and Antony getting sent off would have been easier than bringing two donkeys on.

The fact he subbed them doesn't bother me really. It's why he brought on who he did. Lindelof should have come on for Varane, Pellistri for Antony and fucking Butland for Wout. Fred would have given some much needed energy as well. I think something must have happened between ETH and Fred as he can't get a look in at the moment. Having said that, 2-0 up at this club when they weren't really threatening should have been enough and just shows how lacking we still are. 2 own goals is really unlucky, but for the last 20 minutes, we weren't getting a hold on the ball. Maguire on that pitch installs zero confidence in the rest of the players. We are no longer able to play a high line because he's so slow so we struggle to get our forwards into the game. Hopefully we get new owners soon and he can get this shite out the club.

The only crumb of comfort I can see is normally we produce those calamities in the second leg, leaving ourselves no opportunity to rectify the situation. At least now we have a chance. Not a great one but still a chance. If Rashford is fit then him, Antony and Martial will destroy them. You could see why they’re 13th in their league last night.

Absurd that people are defending the subs. They were abysmal and there’s no two ways about it. Not defending anything, said i could understand bringing Antony off, the rest were shite calls!

On Sancho, who has been garbage, it’s too easy now to include him amongst the “dross” that Ole filled the squad with.
Almost everyone was happy when we signed him. He looked a great player. He was number one on most people’s lists. Looked to be the player we finally needed on the right.
We’ve discussed before that some people were unsure and were vocal about that. But the majority were more than chuffed with the signing. So if boat loads of people are surfacing now saying that they weren’t, then they’re lying. Simple as that.

Sanchez was horrendous for example but you could still see the fight in him, though his legs were gone. Sancho has retreated into a shell and will never come out at Utd.

I think the problem is we paid him far too much. £350k pw when no other club were in for him is madness.

We seem to get more bad luck than most with ref decisions, injuries and fluke goals against us unless it’s my imagination.
The Glazers curse.

Well, this was my first ever game at OT. Shit result but the feelings I got and the atmosphere was priceless. Can't wait to be back again next year!

No buyout clause Didn’t have 6 teams plus bidding for him Why the heck did we offer those wages to a kid coming from the German league?? Stupidity, the level of money wasted on and off the pitch since Moyes has been absolutely embarrassing. So many overpaid players in this squad, why work hard when you have already arrived and reached the pinnacle in terms of wages? No motivation for alot of them because they know their level is not one that wins trophies and certainly not one that earns the wages they are on.
