Newcastle did us a solid beating Tottenham this weekend. We are 6 points clear of Tottenham with two games in hand and we can increase that gap to 9 points if we beat them on Thursday. That is a pretty massive gap and should allow us to secure top 4 with games to spare which will allow us to rest key players so they are fresh for the final.
City are obviously the better team but they aren't invincible and if we defend well as a team (keeping Maguire on the bench) we will have some chances on the counter. We've gone off the boil the last few months but no more European games should be helpful and we can finish the season on a high wrapping up top 4 and at least trying to make things difficult for City in the final. So long as we avoid a total humiliation winning a domestic cup and finishing runners up in another is a pretty rare and impressive feat and illustrative that some progress has been made this season that we can build on next year.

Very solid defensive display, goes to show that Captain Underpants should never be near our starting line up again.

I couldn't watch the whole game, saw about 2 minutes of extra time and the pens. Knew we would do it when I saw the rain!!

It's probably only us that realistically stand in the way of a Treble for them. We were Treble Busters in 77 at Wembley, would be very sweet to repeat it in 23!

Don Carlo has had Pep’s number the last twice they’ve met in CL semi finals. He can do it again.

There should already be enough motivation to win the FA Cup, but stopping City from winning the treble - a unique achievement only attained by United - will surely add even more weight to the cause.

Iv never been a fan of Lindelof and never will be I just dont think he`s good enough but its obvious that he improves when not partnered with that useless oaf Harold which is better than nothing until they both get moved on.

Another challenge Casemiro gets sent off for btw. Looking back on some of the challenges it was absolutely woeful display from Pawson.

I’ve always thought Lindelof was a good footballer. He reads the game pretty well and is usually excellent on the ball. Just sometimes finds himself getting a little bullied by the more physical strikers. Have absolutely no issue with him sticking around in the squad.
Noticed against Sevilla just how much he was leaving his position to cover for that fucking cart horse. Shit footballers always drag those in the positions around down with them.
A crap striker who can’t finish means less assists for a creator and vice versa; a crap creative player will obviously end up affecting the performance of a striker and other attacking players. Defenders are no different.

He's definitely not a top level CB but performances playing next to Maguire and playing next to literally anyone else are worlds apart. Hes a decent cover CB. While Maguire may have the odd decent game he drags everyone else's down. De Gea goes to shit because he's on edge so do our fullbacks because they have to come out of position to cover him. Again I will never understand how the fuck he is a professional footballer.
