I think Dave gets one more year primarily as we have much bigger needs elsewhere. Striker will probably take 75% of our budget. I thought like you but from front row today Dave was just not a keeper you start at a top club or a club looking to rise like the Phoenix Our real issue is the names we are linked with aren’t good enough. The guy from Porto is not a £75 million keeper. And all the other £40 million names aren’t good enough either

Season over, we all know what’s required, all depends on the owners now!
Knowing our luck it’ll be chemical Jim, if so then it’s more of the same

Need to move Sancho on before his valuation plummets any further.

That was disheartening.
Seeing a lot of Sancho criticism. Game summed up his United career for me - some nice touches but no drive and plenty of criticism.
The scoreline flatters us. We are miles off being a top team. Right now I'd keep Martinez, Casemiro and Garnacho. That's it.

I don’t think it’s one or the other. We need the striker and we need a keeper. I wouldn’t pay the fees being mentioned for the keepers we have been linked with, I don’t think any are good enough to be our number one really. We have a young lad that maybe we should be giving a chance to after a wonderful season out on loan. Striker, we aren’t getting osimhen nor Kane. Hojlund is attainable and whilst I am not trying to offend anyone I think Greenwood will stay and play again.

Think most will agree with the same players.

Just based on the fact we will not have the brains or money to change what we need to I Would keep casemiro, varane, shaw, martinez, Bruno, rashy, garnacho

It’s gutting because that fanbase doesn’t deserve this. Watching them in the stadium celebrating towards the end made me realise that this is football now. They don’t give a fuck how they got there and I need to let go of the idea that Qatar will be bad for us. If we want to stop them then that’s what we have to do because they are not going anywhere.
In terms of the game i didn’t think we landed many punches on them. Key players like Bruno and Rashford looked like they had played 58/59 games this season and we don’t have enough quality to push us forward when they are struggling. End of the day we can’t expect to beat a generational team when we are bringing on Mctominay and Weghorst.

Mixed feelings. We did our best but they have a mature team that was at full strength whereas we’re only part way through the rebuild and were missing a few players. In particular Sancho, Lindelof, Eriksen, Fred and Dave (sad to say) aren’t of the quality we need in a cup final against a team as strong as City.
But last time we won a domestic cup and reached a domestic cup final in the same season was early/mid 90s so it does show we’ve made some progress this season. And as Paul said it’s obvious the areas we need to strengthen but unfortunately it does require Qatari money and Jim won’t fix it
