The 2018 thread is here. The top prediction was first; we finished sixth. No one clicked sixth in the poll, though points to Chris for saying '6th, 7th, 8th... no chance of top 4.' The 2019 thread is here. The joint top predictions were fifth and below eighth; we finished third. Six people clicked third in the poll, with GeniusCantona , Pixel , RAZ and Ole's Red Whiteknight03 Army all getting full marks for mentioning third in their posts. Chris didn't replicate his previous correct call, though he wasn't far off saying that we could get 4th if we had a couple of good signings after Maguire came in. The 2020 thread is here. The top prediction was seventh; we finished second, which only one anonymous person voted for. Kudos to Diablo Rouge for going for third amongst a sea of predictions we'd finish outside the top four. The 2021 thread is here. The top prediction was second; we finished sixth, which only one anonymous person voted for. kstandhand and Karma get points for being the most negative with their 'struggle for top four' predictions.
The 2022 thread is here. The top prediction was shared between 6th, 7th and below 8th - we finished third. Credit to Diablo Rouge for a spot on third prediction, and also to Monty for predicting fourth - the only two people on the board to openly admit to predicting a top four finish.
Worth noting that, in every season we have done this, we have always been wrong as a group about whether we get top four or not. The poll will remain open until after the transfer window closes.

I've gone fourth for now. At least one of Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea will improve, or Newcastle may take better to CL football than expected. If we don't get any sort of striker I may go lower; if we somehow get a proven one like Kane or Osimhen I may go higher, but otherwise City and probably Arsenal are still better than us at the very least.

4th as it stands. Liverpool will improve, don't see Chelsea improving enough, Newcastle may drop out. Can see City and Arsenal battling it out again, but City will win it by miles.

I'm going 5th. Scouse fucks might be a handful this season. It's probably citehs league again. Arsenal and the rents making up the rest.

1st. We're in the mix until January, Qatar get their foot in the door just before and we go nuts in the January window

Gone for 3rd.
City will romp it.
Arsenal won't be anyway near as good, they really aren't all that in my opinion, and I don't see anyone they've signed taking them to another level.
Liverpool will improve and may well grab 2nd.
Chelsea will either put it all together and have a very good season, especially without Champions League football, or continue to hilariously implode.
Spurs will do sod all. It takes a while for teams to get use to Ange's football, didn't Celtic lose 2 of his first 3 games? Can see them mid table in November or so.
Newcastle will drop off, they are shite with just a couple of decent players, teams will figure them out now. Nowhere near the top 4 next season.
Villa will be dark horses, on a brilliant run last season, some very interesting signings made already this summer, don't discount them from "doing a Newcastle" this season.

I would say between 3rd and 5th place.
City will obviously win the league easily.
Liverpool I can see finishing 2nd. They have a lot of firepower and players like Gakpo and Nunez will be in their second season and more settled. They've refreshed their midfield. And while defensively they could use some reinforcements they can outscore most opposition.
Arsenal I think will finish 3rd. We are probably on a level with them. And they will have a bit of a hangover after overachieving last season. But they do have a more settled team that is used to how Arteta wants to play. We are still rebuilding and this season I expect Erik will start working a little harder to change our playing style after being more pragmatic last season and there will be a learning curve and in the meantime some bad results. Plus goals will continue to be a problem for us and Hojlund isn't going to be an instant solution and will probably only start scoring regularly second half of the season.
That leave us at 4th place. Possibly achieving 3rd if Arsenal and Chelsea have bad seasons. Possibly lower if Arsenal and Chelsea have good seasons.
Above Newcastle because they overachieved last season and still finished below us and they haven't added enough quality this summer to their squad.
Chelsea as I said depends on them really. As things stand their squad is still unbalanced and they have too many players. But if they push through a few more player sales and bring in Caicedo, a proper striker and a centre back and Pochettino can get the team to click then they will probably finish above us.
