Gun to my head right now I reckon 2nd again, albeit less easily than last year where it rarely looked in doubt. But there's so much up in the air, for us and for others. If we do poor business and Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool fill their main needs I could easily see us 5th or even 6th if Arsenal's good business translates to results.
I think if we don't get off to a strong start, and Jose continues with some poor selections and stifled football, the atmosphere around the club could quickly turn quite poisonous. Not quite as bad as LVG around Christmas in his second season, but not far off.
I know people have said this every year for the past few years, but top 4 feels as unpredictable as ever. Every club has a case right now. As things stand I'd go:
City United Liverpool Spurs Arsenal Chelsea
But that could so easily change with a couple of signings, bar top for City again - I don't think the gap will be as big as last year (both because others will improve and they'll drop), but I can't see anyone being good enough to stop them.

As it stands I just about think we'll finish 2nd again. Liverpool have strengthened and if they bring in a top class keeper I'll probably revise my prediction to us finishing 3rd behind them and City.
Chelsea and Arsenal are tough to call because of the manager changes but I see them battling it out for 4th.
Spurs have done nothing so far, so I don't see how they improve at the moment.

I will have a look back at this World Cup to look forward to this season. And with City the returning favorites I look at their players first. The ones from Brazil-Spain-Argentina-Germany will have a major let down with early exits and team discord. Of course De bruyne is on a different level right now and Stones overal has done enough to give him more confidence going into the season. But I think with our World Cup players Pogba-Lukaku-Lingard-Fro-Lindelof-Young have had a very good World Cup and should come back brimming with confidence. We brought in Fred and a RB so far this off season. Jose has stated that some on the fringe will be getting a chance this summer to state their case....With that said we will win the league, book it!!

I think we'll close the gap, but it will mostly be because City won't be as dominant. I think Liverpool and Chelsea will pose more of a threat this season as well. Spurs will be Spurs and Arsenal will suffer a post Wenger hangover. I think City will win, us, the dippers, and the rents will make up the CL places, but the order will depend on further signings.

With Bale (or an equivalent game-changer)- 1st.
Without Bale- 2nd But by less distance than last year.

I can barely bring myself to say it, especially as they are massive chokers but Liverpool will be a real challenge to us in the league this season.

3rd. First is possible but I think we might finish behind either Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea.
Still time in the transfer window though.

Mods, please ban the 2 who predict us to finish third this year...They must be agent provocateurs....

If we buy a game changer then we could easily hit first as I highly doubt City will be as dominant. I've stuck us in 2nd as I doubt we will buy anyone that level sadly

I've gone 3rd, though a lot depends on how the rest of the transfer window goes.
I'd love to say 1st but there just seems so many questions about our team/squad this season, that I don't really see with the rest of the challengers.
As well as a couple of new signings, we really need the real Pogba and Sanchez to step up to the plate. They are game changing players, players who could inspire a team to a title; but so far Pogba has only produced in flashes and Sanchez has done nothing at all. If those two are on their game next season, with Lukaku still scoring, Fred improving the midfield, and Dave continuing to Dave, then who knows.

Mods, please ban the 2 who predict us to finish third this year...They must be agent provocateurs.... I predicted 3rd but that is going by the current situation. With further signings I will change it. There is nothing suggests me at this moment that we will do any better than last season. City may not be as good but they still have enough to win the league and Liverpool might be better than last season as they are addressing their weaknesses. We have signed a good CM but we need to see whether he can adapt quickly and a RB for the future. We need a CB, LB and a natural right winger.

I do think Chelsea with Sarri will be a close contender to our title charge however.
