G Nev saying he wont be a top top level striker.. we dont know if he will be a Benzema for example, but if he can be a Cavani which he has so many similarities to then thats a winner winner. Even if he doesn't score Hollund number of goals every year, if he is banging in 20-30 a season across all competitions consistently then that is huge in allowing us to focus on things around him. I think our biggest issue is we have shit players in almost every single position and it becomes a games of whats more important. We know right now these are positions we can possibly take a transfer window off on finding a starter that isn't a waste to focus on more dire needs Striker- Hojlund(but find a suitable backup) LW- Garnacho (swap to RW if need be) CAM- Bruno Cm- Mainoo GK- Onana (as much as he has cost us, we are sorta stuck with him another season)

Neville is a knob. Also given his managerial “success” I’m not sure his opinion is worth anything regardless.

Who exactly in our team besides Bruno can be considered top top level? If Hojlund can score 20-25 goals consistently every season that will already be a huge improvement on Rashford and Martial.
Arsenal don't have an elite striker but pushed City hard the last two seasons with Jesus or Havertz leading the line.
And the other thing about Hojlund is he works very hard for the team and that is something you need from a striker in the modern game.

Probably a good time to remember that Harry Kane was 20 for the 2013/14 season. He scored 4 goals in 19 games.
Alan Shearer was 20 for the 1990/91 season.
He scored 14 goals in 48 games.
Andy Cole was 20 for the 1991/92 season.
He scored 12 goals in 27 games for 3rd division Fulham and 2nd division Bristol City.
RVN was 20 for the 1996/97 season.
He scored 12 goals in 31 games.
Some people really need a reality check with what Rasmus has done this season.
