Watch us try to get him on a loan + option to buy deal and say that FFP means we need to sell before we can buy.

Dortmund will pay less than half of Sancho's wages and there is an option to buy at 25M, according to football insider. I know and agree just getting rid of deadwood is great, but fuck me how can people say we were run by commercially astute people when you look at that shit. In total that will cost us 70M for that useless prick and we didn't even need another wide player at the time instead of an out and out striker or top level midfielder.
I hate when non fans and the media bang on about how much was spent. Lukaku, Di Maria, Pogba, Sancho as just a short sample were all re sold or left for nothing and barely contributed. Obviously there's a dozen others, but what a bunch of incompetent morons.
The only positive this year is that they look serious about clearing the management decks and bringing in good people. The Ineos group have charisma and intent in this area of recruitment and have the connections. I really don't think anything else matters until those major changes are made and you have senior management, football director and experienced recruitment specialists all on the same page with a smart vision for more than a year or two, instead of the usual 2 year failure project repeated over and over 4 times and the whims of a manager or commercial interests.

It is ridiculous really. They sold him to us for £75m. 2 years later they get him back for free and only need to pay him £3.5m a year in wages with us covering the bulk of it. And have the option to buy him for 1/3 of his price.
Erik hasn't really helped matters. First there was the Dutch training camp and comments about his mental health. Second there were the public comments which were bound to trigger a reprisal. No wonder Dortmund have been able to get such a good deal. Would have been better to keep things quiet and do our best to deal with his disciplinary issues behind closed doors and then quietly tried to find a way to move him on.
Even if they exercise the option to buy for £25m his wages will be a stumbling block. And he will probably demand a Maguire style severance pay out to cover the difference between what he would have earned on the last 2 years of his contract here and what Dortmund can afford to offer him. And we will have little choice other than to pay because there is no way back for him the way there was for Maguire as he's burned all bridges.
But SJR was well aware when he bought his stake that there were lots of legacy issues to deal with. All we can do is try to get rid of the bad apples no matter what and get recruitment right going forward.
Because there is something very rotten with the club the way that in the space of 10 years we could waste £160m on two wastrels like Pogba and Sancho and £80m on someone as useless as Antony.

And the losses we are accumulating with outgoing players added to spending on incoming players are fucking us up big time. Have a look at the FFP tables attached, not good reading. sqaf.club/premier-league-ffp-table/

I disagree that we didn’t need what we thought Sancho was going to be. We desperately needed and still need someone who can play wide right. He was supposed to be that player and occupy that role for a long time. Unfortunately he’s shit, lazy and we paid him a fucking fortune. Agree with the rest though.

Fenerbahçe have made a €7m bid to Manchester United to sign Anthony Martial NOW! #MUFC [@takvim] Think the problem in shifting him will be the wages. While he’s under contract, he can just go “no thanks” and sit on whatever astronomical money he’s on here until the end of the season. This is why I’d be astounded if we trigger an extension in his contract. For other players it would ensure a fee, but Martial is never getting this money anywhere else and for that reason he won’t be keen to pack up and piss off.

I think if 7 million is on the table we will pay him off. He knows he isn't earning the wages he is on now anywhere other than Saudi Arabia

Dumping Sancho and Martial in the Jan window would be orgasmic.
Seeing a 4-7 mil loan fee for Sancho with us paying more than half wages and if the option to buy is 25mil they should make it mandatory. Get him out of here even at a loss....
Not going to get much for Martial in terms of transfer imo, hasn't played enough and has been consistently injured so just get what we can to get his astronomical wages off the bill.

absolutely superb if they get rid of Donny, Sancho and Martial this window. Ineos are stepping up Don’t get too excited, we haven’t got rid of any of them, donny and sancho are on loan, if they don’t perform they’re unlikely to be signed permanently so they simply come back, back to square one Martial is a wanker, happy to sit there and get his fat pay cheque, be surprised if he goes anywhere before the summer just out of ambition to play football
