No style of play after a year is simply unacceptable Like him or dislike him that’s on the manager and coaches

30 goals and 11 assists last year for Rashford, saka has been nominated for a Balon d’or and put up less. The rope he has on here is far shorter than other pretenders. Everyone has a wank over Martinez including you tatty but he’s been fucking shocking so far this year. agree that Martinez has been way off this year but he still puts a shift in. case and Eriksen have also been poor but I just think age is finally catching up with both of them.it just shows how badly we are run signing case for 5 years(it’s should have been 3 maximum) and Eriksen should have been moved on last summer. With rashford it’s his half arsed body language when the game isn’t quite going his way(he just seems to give up). As said we’ve been shit all season and it’s not just on rashford but he is supposed to be one of our top players but bar that purple patch last season he’s been poor for quite some time. A top club with serious ambitions would have benched or upgraded by now.

Truth is, this highly rated coach has been in charge for over a year now and has us playing no better than we were playing under Ole, with no sign of any kind of established way of playing.
Despite the constant shit off the field we once again have a manager taking pressure off the cunts by digging his own grave.

On this point I am a bit more sympathetic. Nothing the manager can really do if players fail to follow instructions and lose discipline and concentration.
We've seen that at Ajax Erik had them playing some very good football. The problem is that at Ajax players are all technically good and work hard and follow instructions and can play as a team.
We are a disjointed unbalanced group of players assembled with no real rhyme or reason that for a long time has relied on occasional individual brilliance of a few key players to bail us out. Our squad players such as Lindelof and Scotty are technically not good enough and probably Casemiro and Eriksen are too old for the kind of football Erik wants to play. And in truth we only ever look dangerous on the counter attack which is the same one trick that Ole over relied upon. Maybe on a good day at full strength we can play from the back, dominate possession, control midfield and transition beautifully from defence to attack and create and score lots of goals. But I do not see us doing it week in and week out with the current squad and when it isn't working we are vulnerable to getting beaten badly the way we were yesterday. So sad to say but Erik might need to be pragmatic and go back to basics and adopt tactics that cover up our weaknesses and get the most out of a limited group of players. Otherwise he might not last here very long. No style of play after a year is simply unacceptable Like him or dislike him that’s on the manager and coaches

We could have Pep in charge and we would still be shit. From top to bottom this club is badly run. Until the whole structure of the club and the owners change we will continue on this downward spiral.
Spending 70 odd million on one player hoping that he will turn things around but continually buying players who are in the twilight of their careers.
Having to get loan players to fill gaping holes in the squad.
In the good old days when the squad was strong we we buy one top top player and 2 or 3 squad players, workhorses
Were still trying to do that but the top player is a punt / prospect and the existing squad isnt good enough and needs much more
I have to admire how well run teams can spend very little but build squads who are strong, young, fit and hungry and capable of pissing on us every week
Nothing will change until the owners do.

Goes to show what you can do with a proper recruitment setup that identifies the right profile of player and blends young and hungry with experienced and hard working. Ajax has the same thing going on when Erik coached there.
And it does make you wonder whether Erik is capable of building a team without this kind of support. In theory signing players you’ve coached before or know well from the Dutch league should ease a transition to a new style of play. But we haven’t seen much evidence of it yet.

The culture at the club is pretty poor. People just do what others do irrespective of their past experiences unless the culture forces them to adapt. I see this in work, unless standards are drummed into new people constantly, then everything goes to shit really quickly. Recruitment is vital but culture is the single most important thing in any successful thing. If you were to compare Park Ji Sung and Bruno Fernandes, you'd say Bruno is easily more talented but I know who I'd select when you need a result. Ten Hag does not strike me as a soft touch but he's up against it now and unless he takes the nuclear approach and starts casting the wasters relentlessly to one side, he's not going to make any progress and just get the sack. The situation with Greenwood and Anthony is not his fault and has caused all kinds of disruption and he's dealt with the Sancho situation the best he can in my opinion. The most disappointing aspect for me is how incoherent the team is and that's definitely on the coach. If the players ain't following instructions then drop them. He has to do better but fuck me, nobody is helping him.

Well after that disaster I'd be happy to get the Brighton coach in and all his staff but we`d still be up shit creek with the board and these owners.

They replaced Woodward with budget Woodward and threw in another donkey alongside him. What do we expect to happen.
Absolutely no use talking about the coach. It all starts in Florida.

To deny the Glazers need to go is to deny the earth is round in shape. It’s a non discussion.
However for me and pls I am open to being corrected but the Glazers aren’t picking the team or coaching. There is zero style of play, we aren’t a counter attacking team or one that plays on the front foot, even the pressing is inconsistent. We have to be about something other than overpaying players, handing out generous years in contract length and overpaying clubs on fees.
I am in full support of the manager as I can see discipline wise he is trying to sort out an absolute mess. Also he clearly needed another forward, needed MCT and Maguire sold thus another CB and DM came in but even with that, there needs to be more on the pitch.
A team showing up for 20 minutes is not good enough.
The players aren’t getting a pass on this mess too, it’s inexcusable to not be able to organise themselves on the pitch and show up when they go a goal down. It’s pathetic really and that kind of stuff will get the manager sacked, the ownership need to resist that though and let the players know they would rather sell all of them than sack another manager.

He got the summer transfers completely wrong. We needed 2 strikers. Instead we go into another season with Martial and Rashford. The goalkeeper was an issue that shouldn’t have been. 58 goals scored in the PL last season. We’ve basically made Rashford the star man . Massive problem right away. No doubt I expect he’ll go the same way as Martial but will get cut more slack for it.
