But we spent £60m on Mount, a player we didn't need, meanwhile over in Brighton they're playing exciting football, looking progressive and spending far less on better players. Where are our scouts? Who sanctions these daft transfers?

He’s had nearly 400 million quid and largely blown it on shite. And everyone before has too, the set up to succeed isn't there, regardless of what gets spent, also out of all of the money we spend, ridiculous high fees we never get the top level players, the real elite don't want to come. Spot on, nobody who wants to win titles is coming here. Its not ETH fault that Anthony was 100m, that's on Murtough but I do agree that our transfer business in the last two window particularly the last was crap. |

Is antony a worse signing than Maguire? At least with Maguire i feel like we got one decent enough season out of him and you can put the English tax on a lot of his fee.

Oh 100% the problem is when he wanted him and he's available for 50m fair enough but the new manager the player, once we pissed about low balling and then they said 90m someone has to say sorry we can't pay that, but the club just seems a free for all, nobody in any sort of control what so ever. |

We are really honouring Bobby Charlton's memory with these back to back 3-0 home defeats. Manager and players are an absolute disgrace.
I was a little hopeful at the start of the game glad to at least see some changes. But Casemiro is finished. Hannibal is likeable because he gives a damn but not the answer. Amrabat is pedestrian clearly better suited to the slower pace of World Cup football. Garnacho has regressed. Antony is consistently shit. Martial is never the answer. Dalot can't defend. Lindelof and Maguire is the worst centre back pairing imaginable. Should have played Evans.
And of course didn't make any difference when we brought on Bruno, Rashford and Hojlund.
Bring on Potter. Give him a proper DOF and transfer chief and he probably can't do much worse than Erik and at least he is tactically flexible so might find some system that works while we try and improve the squad behind the scenes. Most of his experience may be with mid-table teams but that is our level at the moment so he might be a good fit.

Hojlund very looks like a work in progress as well when we needed someone a bit more battle ready To be fair to the lad he's has fuck all to work off. We could have signed Kane or even Osimhen and they'd be frustrated being up top with nothing to work with. |

Eriksen did a job for a year. Onana will come good. Eventually. The lads (Fletcher) who though Amrabat wasn’t good enough are probably owed an apology. At least they can spot a player. Yeah tbf didn't mention Licha as he's been out for most of it injured. Eriksen was always a short term fix but instead of addressing that we've wasted money on Mount and brought in a player based on one tackle at a WC. Really is so poor. |
