Anyone see Erik’s post match exchange with Rio. Erik’s blaming injuries saying that you need a consistent starting eleven to build chemistry and momentum. And with the chopping and changing the routines aren’t there. And he’s sure we will improve when we get players back. It sounds plausible but problem with this line of argument is that most of our injuries have been in defence. And while we are conceding more goals than usual we’re not scoring many goals even with a fully fit forward line and of our midfielders only Casemiro is injured and he’s been poor all seasons I'll buy it when we get them back and start performing.

So Newcastle are allowed to take the ball out of play before crossing it (a reason Utd had a goal chalked off v Brighton) and their players are allowed to crush defenders (remember Maguire'S disallowed goal last season?).

Guimaraes kicked one dude and then went and casually bowed Jorginho. Var on drugs I think

Best thing that could happen to the game in this country is to sack VAR off completely, if we thought refs were bad before then this is making them look a million times worse, can’t be the best league in the world with officiating like this, it’s a shambles

Ten Hag said afterwards that we stopped Fulham playing out from the back with good pressing. But we weren't pressing (and when we do try pressing, for some reason we always leave a player free so the press never works).

I wonder if Bruno’s winner could make him ETH’s saviour, like Hughsie was for SAF? We can hope only for the same result and upwards trajectory!

My mates lad is at citeh youth. All the teams play to pep's vision. All of them. It's going to be ingrained in the kids for years to come. So if a professional football player can't come into the team he plays for and play the way the manager wants, then there are some big bloody issues! Too many individuals at United for far too long.

100%! It is a crap excuse from Erik. With a clear system with well-defined roles for the players in each position then rotation (even if forced by injuries) shouldn't affect performances to the extent he seems to think it has been. It is a failure of coaching on the one hand and lack of application from the players on the other hand.
Look at Newcastle. They massively rotated midweek against us but it had no impact on their performance and they played good football and beat us easily. Because that team has a clear identity and they know how their manager wants to play and they know their roles and are professionals who do their jobs to the best of their abilities. Onana has shown great character coming back from that awful run of errors. It could have finished off a lesser man. He may never be Dave on the miracle front but he is a good player.

What's preventing us from having a clear system of play? All we hear is Ten Hag is over training them. There's something else going on here because I can't understand how a coach who came through Ajax and alot of good clubs and has a pretty decent record in management can't establish a style of play after 18 months considering Eddie Howe did it in 6 months. Was that all luck or are the players incapable of following basic instructions? Yeah he might not be the coach we thought he was but whatever it is, it can't go on like this. His comments about pressing after the game yesterday was bs. If that was pressing then what were Fulham doing.

I would imagine the fact about 6 or so of these players have been through about 3 different managers it's the players rather then the coaches
