I do think that is always going to be given by VAR, whether it's us or the scouse or an oil club or anyone else. The problem is that a referee would never give it in real time, but VAR slows down and twists things. We've seen similar incidents lead to VAR reds in other games I think. VAR needs scrapping, or at the very least incredibly extensive reform. It is the problem here and it is being used incredibly badly by referees across England, Europe and the world. The spirit of the laws of the game has been completely removed from the equation, primarily because of fear, with the irony being that the criticism they fear is more intense than ever as a result. With the way the game has been going for years - especially in European games - it was always going to be given as a red. These ones always are, and Rashford would know that. This is down to him I think. I would bench him beyond the three games he will miss. He was playing well imo until then. The ball to Mctominay was lovely. Yeah, on reflection I retract that post. I've been unfairly harsh on him there. |

why does var always show the ref a still shot of the incident. they should only be able to show full speed replays. you slow something down or do a still picture of it then it can look awfull .

It’s nice to be in it but to be honest we are just not good enough at the moment especially with all our injuries. even if we manage to scrape through the group stages(which we won’t) the first decent team we play will knock us out. |
