If we establish ourselves as a Champions League club and Nice remain a Europa League club then we can use them as a feeder club.

Ratcliffe said it was "not (INEOS') intention" to sell Nice, and spoke about how he saw the Cote d'Azur club being able to develop players for United and also utilise their position within the European Union to sign promising U18 footballers, something United are unable to do. Ratcliffe, who backed Britain's exit from the EU in 2016, added: "Because of Brexit it's quite difficult now to contract the younger generational talents in Europe, but Nice could do that. "If it's a fantastic 15-year-old in France we can sign him up to Nice and use Nice as a conduit to Manchester United later on." So we can move players between clubs then?? But apparently not allowed to sign Todibo....even though City and Red Bull have done it from their sister clubs owned by the same person How can that happen if we can’t do the same thing?

Got to say SJR often comes across as a bit of a jerk.
He was asked in an interview about Erik and rather than give any kind of public backing he just sidestepped the question by saying "The manager is not a central issue".
And in the post-FA cup final speech he couldn't even bring himself to name-check Erik who masterminded the victory.

Red Bull changed their management structure to circumvent the rules apparently. Savio’s transfer to City is being investigated currently I believe.

ETH is the boyfriend you keep because the preferred option is spoken for. The review was a smokescreen. They used it to pretend keeping him wasn’t based on winning a cup final. They were actively speaking to potential candidates.

Yeah. Basically saying that Erik is a placeholder and changing manager isn't top of their agenda (but will eventually happen).
INEOS reportedly admire Erik's "dignity and professionalism". In other words, they admire that he let them undermine his authority and humiliate him. Although Erik's recent interviews suggest that Erik will stand up for himself a lot more from now on (which is probably a good thing although SJR probably won't like it as he's surrounded by yes men and sycophants).

I thought EtH interview after the FA cup win on MUTV was class. He actually said we were shit for a lot of the season. He looked very relieved after the game. One of the presenters had to apologise for the bad language! I do think he might have a bit more grit to himself this season. Hopefully!

I don’t get why Ratcliffe is complaining about the Ashworth situation. It’s of their own making. They haven’t covered themselves in glory so what standing do they have to accuse Newcastle of being vindictive?
Farcical.

They paid Brighton around 2 - 2.5 million for Ashworth and now they want 10x that amount... It's beyond unreasonable... Having said that, just pay whatever it takes and get him in...

Newcastle thought they were jonny big bollox coming in and taking Ashworth from little old Brighton and now they don't like it that a bigger club has done it to them,

Ashworth violated his contract. He does not have a leg to stand on. Where were you when Kenyon happened and what was your reaction? The only person who looks small time and whiny is Ratcliffe. He hasn't handled this with any sort of professionalism, which is embarrassing for someone who claims to epitomize the word.

Clearly I have misunderstood the situation… I thought that we approached him (as happens a lot in the corporate world) he told Newcastle he was interested in joining us and they put him on garden(ing) leave. So I’m not sure how he violated his contract. Kenyon was different iirc. He went behind our backs after deliberately screwing up the Robben deal and went off to Chelski… But maybe I am misremembering…

I was just doing a bit of digging on Kenyon as my memory is shite. A fact I wasn't aware of was Sir Bobby Charlton declined a winners medal after the 2008 CL final with dignity and grace whilst Kenyon gleefully accepted a losers medal!
Wow.

Far too many clubs have taken the piss out of us for far too long. stand firm as it’s going to be a 3-5 year project anyway.

Ratcliff talk of learning from Real Madrid
Madrid responded to the rise of an all conquering Barca side by signing best players in the world and hiring Jose Mourinho.
How is INEOS responding to a City side dominating the league , oh yes thats right, they actually considered appointing Southgate and Dezerbi.
The difference is day and night.
