Maguire is out for 3 weeks now too. We already had one of the worst back fours in the PL recently and a legless midfield. We're heading for 30 CB partnerships this season and 8 players have played left back. How does anyone think any coach could compete at this level with that! We will need to rebuild the back four and midfield before we spend big on any forwards especially another left footed right winger! Jesus Christ. How did Maguire get injured? I don't know mate. It must have been in training and I can't believe I am actually gutted to hear he is out |

Maybe the chaotic way we play is contributing to the ridiculous number of injuries we suffer ? Just a thought. 🧐 That really doesn't hold water. Our injury record has been farcical for years. Yea, it really doesn't. Martinez has had problems from the start this season and Shaw, Varane and Evans are are always risks. I've said it before though if you want to play this way you will need very fit robust players. |

Yet this manager saw fit to sign only one defender last summer. He’s been caught with his pants well and truly down. |

High priority this summer is a starting #9. Hojlund is nowhere near ready to be playing week in and week out. He's shown glimpses of his potential, but he's still very raw (which is expected).
It's not going to happen, but a total reset is needed. Get rid of Onana, Maguire, Varane, AWB, Malacia, Casemiro, Eriksen, McTominay, Martial and Antony. Rashford as well ideally but no one will pay his fee or wages. Same with Bruno as he's one we'd get a decent fee for.
I'd have no problem with sacrificing next season if we end up with a good structure, a decent manager, a squad overhaul, and a clear plan/approach moving forward.
