You have to admire Real though. They have already built a new team that looks like it can challenge for anything after Ronaldo, Benzema, Casemiro, Kroos and Modric, not to mention Varane and Ramos. 11 years since we had a team that could compete at the top Their fans wouldn’t accept anything less. If they had the misfortune to have been bought by a Glazer equivalent, the Bernabeau would have been reduced to a pile of rubble after 2 seasons.

We should try to flog them Rashford when Mbappe leaves and buy Olise or Eze along with someone like Toney or Watkins who would be a reliable back-up striker and be OK playing second fiddle to Hojlund. Fergie knew well that scoring goals in the Premier League isn't easy so wasn't averse to buying Premier League proven strikers from smaller teams e.g. Yorke, Saha, Cole, Berbatov etc. And I think this summer we need to play it safe in the transfer market. We are revamping our recruitment team and they are not getting much time to plan for the summer and Erik is reportedly reluctant to cede much control. So a good compromise would seem to be to go for some Premier League players that Erik will be familiar with from his two seasons here that can add some quality and depth to our squad and hit the ground running. Still not getting the Olise and Eze tunnel vision by some here. We think Martial and Sancho are laissez faire... And you're not buying Toney or Watkins as backup. Goodness me. Not saying you're wrong, but he's defi watched him more than I have, and assuming more than you...

Not sure what you mean. He has had one bad hamstring injury, which was this season. Before that missed a total of three games…

Just looked now and its all in one hit. My mistake.

With the injury problems we've had this season I would be wary about buying a player who's struggled with injuries recently. We bought Mount on the back of a final Chelsea season riddled with injuries and he's spend most of the season in the treatment rooms. And there is a tendency in football to rush players back from injury because of the high stakes so the same injury can continue to cause problems in the future.

Genuinely keep forgetting he's even here 😂.

Agree with Raz on Case and Varane, other than that Caino's outgoings are spot on for me.
Don't think we'll be selling Maguire, though.
