Lots of noise about us triggering Zirkee’s release clause. Seeing that too… Haven’t seen him play personally… How good is he? I remember a lot being said about him a while ago… Usual caveats

We really could do with Sabitzer back in the squad. He meshed so well with ten Hag’s philosophy and is the type of midfielder we could really do with. He’s been so good today again.

Olise and his hamstrings off to Bayern. We’ll regret this I think.

Not excited about any links, not depressed about any links (other than waistcoat, but that's hopefully finished with)
Just all a bit whatever.

I think at the moment we need players who are incredibly physically robust.
Combination of a crap medical team and Erik placing heavy physical demands on his players in terms of training and tactics.
Sabitzer was never injury prone before he joined us but was invariably unavailable for us. And I doubt he would have escaped the injury curse we faced last season either.
Olise may tear it up in Germany. But who knows if he'd joined us his hamstring injury might have recurred and we'd be asking why we spent £55m on a winger when we had more pressing concerns.

If Amad can take his chance then we could do without Olise…

If Amad can take his chance then we could do without Olise… Confident he will, he just has to be given one.

I can't see Erik giving up on either Rashford or Antony. Both will be given chances before Amad gets an extended run in the side.

Also £60 million on RW when we still have Antony and Sancho stinking the place out is just not wise spending. Sadly both need selling before you starting putting out that outlay in the position. It’s not disrespect to Olise as he would have likely done a sterling job and competed with Amad.
Get the striker, get the CB and get midfielder x2. If we generate enough from sales then I’d be looking at RB and LB (Shaw looking like he has had a setback, guy just needs a period of recovering with no pressure) and depending on what we are doing with Lacey, maybe RW.

When it’s Manchester United the numbers are never reported correctly. For us it’s the whole amount including add ons, for the Scouse especially and others the add ons disappear

Anselmino, who we’ve been linked with quite a lot, close to joining Chelsea, where he’ll be one of 78 CBs.
