We really do need that young forward to ease the load on Rasmus. He’s a big, strong kid but he’s just a kid. If he has to be played week in, week out at his age unfortunately these injuries will be a factor. To be fair to ETH, he wanted a forward in Jan but was refused. 2012-2013 Season Wayne Rooney got 16 Goals (12 in the PL) Javier Hernandez 18 goals (11 in the PL) Robin van Persie 30 goals (26 in the PL) almost half the goals scored in that last title winning season by Hernandez and RVP almost 2/3 of the goals scored by effectively 3 strikers not wingers. Wellbeck was also used well as a focal point for holding it up. He scored against Real in the CL before Nani got sent off We have gone nuts over wingers, with left or right feet blah blah when it's mostly a myth. Fernandez is inconsistent too and is unbalancing the attack 2008 team had Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez. Ronaldo was effectively the striker then and in 1999 we had 4 classic 9's rotating! Inter Milan are effectively playing a kind of 442 with Martinez and Lukaku before and now Martinez and Thuram. Although they call it 3-5-2 or 3-1-4-2, but that's how we used to play really. I think we should be buying a very experienced striker to help compete in all competitions, both rotating and playing with Hojlund, who can easily play with another real striker or play left and rotate.

Let’s face it he didn’t go for a second striker because it was as clear as day they wanted to reintegrate Greenwood back into the squad. Thankfully the women’s groups provided the moral compass to put the brakes on this. Yes that is absolutely true, but that's not his fault in fairness. He also would have counted on 30 goal a season Rashford, plus Antony and Sancho and had to work with Pellestri and Diallo. We've been collecting overrated streaky wingers for a while now through successive campaigns. Mourinho tried to push back against it and had to compromise. They've all been told by morons to play a certain United way which is bollocks. Hojlund is going to be here for a long time and looks like a proper striker in the making, but we should be buying another one at the top level and getting rid of some of this wide player excess on our books.

I'm of the opinion that this Summer should see us listen to offers for all players over 27 and build a team around a core of Hojlund, Mainoo and Garnacho. Whether that's with more kids from the Academy or with a proper transfer policy in place with contracts to match performance. We need a huge cultural reset of the club and rewarding mediocrity with lavish riches needs to stop now. Becuase as they saying goes, if you play well for Manchester United, the money will find you eventually.

Luckhurst saying we want to sell Antony this summer.
A sure sign of the power shift in transfers. Previously we’d have set some preposterous fee no one would come near.

I have no doubt the club has wanted to shift players for years, expected value has always been the hinderance. Antony is going nowwhere for £40 million considering his wages, to shift him we need to simply have to write him off and players of that ilk where we overpaid and were even more daft on the wages. Varane is easy as out of contract, same for Martial. Casemiro is gonna be a hard one to sell, will have 3 years left on his huge wages and is 32.
I think Rashford will have a market. I like him alot and would like for him to turn things around but he has been terrible this season when you compare it to last season. His body language disgraceful and his lack of application in some games unacceptable.

The only but in this is that, he did not negotiate the fee and those that did should be dealt with before ETH. You can't be paying £60 million over a players value, completely mental, the worst that would have happened was the manager would have been upset. Epic waste of money

This will line up with ETH not picking Antony to start against Fulham then again not picking him as a sub and going with Amad. I think the favoritism and giving him chance after chance is gone....

If Sir Dave Brailsford or Sir Jim Ratcliffe spoke to Rangnick as is being reported you’d hope they act. The proof would be mass clearout in the summer.

He cannot be trusted with money.

He should justify the reason for the signing and the football operations figure the price

Can argue the toss about signings and who is at fault for them but it doesn’t excuse how he can’t implement a playing style. Injuries are a shit excuse in this regard too.
A decent manager with a shit squad still manages to get the best out of those players. Look at what Klopp managed to get out of a team of kids on Sunday.
Yet we should sympathise with ETH over Antony as he shouldn’t have been allowed to sign him in the first place?
