We are basically signing Yoro for the same amount that Bayern wanted for De Ligt and without the high wages and injury concerns. And for far less than Everton want for Branthwaite.
This is a huge STATEMENT signing. He's a generational talent. Only 18 years old and has the potential to be one of the best central defenders in the world. And we are getting him for a very reasonable price.
And especially with players like Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojlund already at the club we are well on our way to establishing Manchester United as a great place for young players to develop their careers and fulfil their potential.
What is probably underestimated is the role of Erik in all of this. In Europe he still has a fantastic reputation as a coach and would have been involved in conversations with Yoro persuading him to join us.

If we sign yoro, apparently we still want de ligt, bringing in two CBS and a striker to start with would be absolutely brilliant, if we can then sell lindelof AWB Scotty casemiro and erkisen to fund a high class cm that's got to go down as a 10/10 window.

Yoro is already one of the best defenders in the French league. So I imagine he will walk into the starting line up. And I am sure we made promises over gametime which helped to persuade him to join us.
I do think it was a mistake to release Varane and not trigger the contract extension. Yoro has played a lot of football at a very young age and you don't want someone with his talent to burn out. And while Yoro and Martinez is a strong centre back partnership if Martinez gets injured or Yoro needs a rest then we end up with Maguire/Lindelof/Evans as back up. So Varane could have been a useful squad player to have while allowing us to ease Yoro into the first team. And I do not think we have the funds to buy another CB with Everton wanting £70-80m for Branthwaite and Bayern reportedly wanting 50m + add-ons for De Ligt which we are unwilling to pay. Not to mention that Varane would have been a fantastic mentor for Yoro and has a very good understanding with Martinez. Although who knows maybe if Varane was still at the club Yoro out of national solidarity would have been unwilling to join us.
Anyway we've signed a versatile forward, we are about to sign a fantastic young defender. We might not need a left back because Malacia is back in training and Shaw was fit enough to feature for England at the Euros. So priority now is to try and shift a few midfielders and raise funds to sign Ugarte or someone equally good. And then we can see what is left over and where else we can strengthen.

This kid is the best U21 CB in world football. He’s a Varane clone. This would be an incredible start to the INEOS reign.

110k a week seems like a very good deal, considering how highly rated he is, hopefully that's made up of bonuses which I imagine it will be, a few years ago and we would be offering him 250k to play for us over Madrid, something is definitely changing at this club.

I think we will need De Ligt as well as Yoro. We can even play 3 in defense

Bayern reportedly want 50m euros + add-ons for De Ligt. He'll also want high wages. And cannot imagine him wanting to join another club where he might end up spending quite a bit of time on the bench. Would have made more sense to trigger the contract extension and keep Varane for one more season. He's a better defender and would have been a useful squad player given Yoro will need to adapt to the Premier League and Martinez has missed a lot of games every season with injury. I think that was a rare mistake by INEOS.
Let's move on to strengthening central midfield and pushing on with player sales and then later in the window see how much money we have left.

West Ham agreed a deal for Todibo, strange option for him to take if it does happen, maybe not quite as highly thought of with all the other big clubs if we were the only ones wanting to take him

If we get Yoro, can't see us getting Branthwaite. We would have to pay 80 million. Everton already confused that we have offered more for Yoro who is younger and lacks prem experience.
What they aren't thinking is that we already consider Yoro the better player and has a ceiling beyond that of Branthwaite.
In any case if we want another CB likely to be cheaper option.

Just get Yoro and De Ligt. Let Branthwaite put some pressure on that cunt of a club to be reasonable.
