That was deserved.
Hopefully England now go out and he’s sacked or resigns tomorrow.

How a manager can make such a talented group of players play so poorly is an achievement on its own.

Problem is that SJR and Brailsford are too naive to realise how much lower the level is in international football and ashworth is biased because Southgate is a mate. So if Southgate does stumble into another final and heaven forbid actually wins it then as soon as Erik hits a bad patch of form Southgate will get an interview
Getting to the final is the footballing equivalent of Ole getting to the Europa league final especially as every tournament Southgate gets lucky with the draw and avoids the big teams until the semis or finals. But as all his predecessors always got drawn against big teams in the last 16 or quarters when the level of international football was higher a lot of people are impressed by Southgate’s record

It's been shit all tournament no team has really been great, but this is tournament football the only thing that actually matters is the result not the performance, I think we get beat if we play Holland, but at the same time England could actually win this, Shaw being able to play the full match will be a huge bonus in the semis.

Better to be lucky than good they say.
For all the memes and piss taking about Pickford over the years, he’s England’s best and most successful keeper since Banks. One final, two semi’s (as it stands) and three shoutouts won (one of which he scored in). He’s a fucking maniac of a bloke, but the self-belief is exceptional.
Anyway, I maintain every team in the tournament is shite. Disagree with the earlier comment about international tournaments being shit across the board though. I love them. This one however, has been shit.

The Dutch are very beatable and it'll be alot like the Swiss game in my opinion. Hard to look past Spain, its not a vintage Spanish side but they're by far the best team in this tournament.

Ironic this considering Spain helped implement the boring as fuck, robotic style of football that everyone is trying to play these days. But they’re the only side playing with any freedom and creativity. The lads out wide are great fun.
