Didn’t feel they were better at any point to be honest. 2 moments were players switch off and it hurt us.
Bruno should have hit that, garnacho should have scored without hitting the moving target and not sure why zirkzee slid in he was miles away. Comical.
The subs we’re baffling though.
Bruno needs to start as 10 as Mount offers absolutely nothing.
Zirkzee needs to get up to speed quickly and start games

Mount is a defender who plays in front of the midfield. He does nothing else but press/impede passing.
It could work in a team which was able to score goals.
We need all the attacking threats we've got on the pitch because our finishing is so bad and because we are unable to defend crosses or pull-backs.
It's excruciating to watch at the moment.
Best to stick with the plan, though. When the squad and team are complete, perhaps they'll have become competent at playing this way.
I don't think Ten Hag will be here much longer. We play 3-1-6 in possession, but at walking pace. Eventually, players get frustrated and start hoofing it to the opponents' centre backs.
Added: "The addition of Mount — an exceptional defender in the final third who can set and recognise opposition pressing traps — means United can turn the ball over much easier in this formation."
"The United manager will need to find a way to include the 25-year-old in the team while maintaining a persistent attacking threat."

On a positive note: SO FAR teams aren't ringing off 20+ shots a match, we are controlling the ball, and not running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
Also thought this was good insight on the second goal as well. Seeing a lot of blaming ETH for it....

On a positive note: SO FAR teams aren't ringing off 20+ shots a match, we are controlling the ball, and not running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Also thought this was good insight on the second goal as well. Seeing a lot of blaming ETH for it.... As I said earlier in the thread it is the start of a full rebuild that is going to take around 3 summer windows to complete(including the manager). we will just have to be patient. |

They're robots now, cannot self manage themselves. robots or not. its absolute basics. youd see it in a pub league, amateur league. everyone picking up their player, area, moving out in line, etc. its absolute basics. our players are just thick as fuck. the manager didnt cost us this game, poor professionalism did from the players |

The only thing I can think of after losing the game yesterday is that if there’s anything close to a repeat of last season, by Christmas Southgate will be our manager.

Just watching the scouse which is something o never normally do but ahead of next week thought I’d see what they’re set up is etc, obviously slot has inherited a better squad in the first place but they still look better than we do, moving the ball with pace and precision and all seem to know what they’re doing

This year will tell us if ETH is the guy for the job and if some of these players who've been around for a while are up to the task(Rashford specifically) |

Trying to balance it out a bit with some optimism so I'm not completely depressed.
There are slight signs of improvement, especially in our pressing and build up play. Had we taken our chances the 2nd Brighton goal wouldn't have mattered.
But it's the same mistakes both ends of the pitch that constantly fuck us and we can't kill games off. We do that and things will come together a lot nicer.
Do think things will get better when we fuck this shite false 9 off though. We're not getting the best from certain players because of it.

The likes of Mct,shaw and rashford should have been binned off years ago. |
