Then it'll be normal service resumed. Until things have been implemented from a coaching standpoint we're stuck in this rut for the foreseeable. |

Hopefully ugarte comes in and helps do something with the midfield him and mainoo need to keep position especially with Bruno doing what he wants, we have to go with garnacho and amad, yes they still make the wrong decisions in games but they are both direct and want to go forward, we need to start creating opportunities for rasmus when he's back but he needs to be more clinical and make sure he's putting them away, the defence is miles stronger now but lb is a huge issue that needs to be resolved in either Jan or next summer. The squad is good enough but it's clear that for what ever reason erik changed his principles from Ajax and it's come back and hit on him the arse.

This is the shit that makes me want him fucked off ASAP. The delusion is just embarrassing. At least with Ole you got some charisma but this guy is just like a fucking robotic. He has no redeeming qualities. On or off the pitch. Don't want to be unfair on him because if you asked any coach that question, you'd get a more intense answer in my opinion. You think Jose would say, yes it's all my fault? |

We slaughtered him for turning on Martial and Pogba when he was absolutely right about them. He was also subject to the most toxic dressing room in our time. He also won a European Cup. Jose took us to our highest league finish since fergie and a European cup and got much less leeway from us than this guy. We can discuss hypothetical situations endlessly but point remains that this man is clueless. Hanging on to a Carling Cup and FA Cup like it’s an excuse. |

He always had a bone to pick with Ratcliffe and Co. about final say in transfers. How dare he say that it could take months to integrate Ugarte? Man has been training with PSG and played at the Copa. He played Casemiros fat cousin so much last year and he’s got the gall to say this publicly ? Talk about xG? Deluded. |

He wanted Amrabat back and look how that worked last season, he was not played very often even when Casemiro was having stinkers. ETH confuses me and I can only conclude he confuses some players too. |

Let's be fair though he hasnt really been quick to integrate new players into the team. There have been some exceptions as he has been forced to but if he hasnt he definitely takes time to bleed new players in. So I am not surprised by that Ugarte comments and I doubt it has anything to do with him wanting him or not. That was not even backed up and a rumour floating around. You heard from the top that they work with ETH on the transfers.

But I'll be honest I agree with the tweet, I'll suffer through this before I accept Southgate as our manager, that thought is depressing!!!!

The manager doesn’t inspire any kind of confidence and that must be affecting the players who probably also don’t have a clue what the manager wants or is trying to achieve.
You can criticise managers like Jose and Tuchel but at least they are men with a plan and can quickly stamp their identity over a team and whip it into shape.
Erik made his name playing attractive football at Ajax and having a very good run in the Champions League. But apparently feels incapable of playing the same football with us despite stuffing the squad full of former players and having a lot of influence over recruitment.
We are a disorganised mess and any team with a solid game plan and identity has a good chance of beating us.
We struggle to score goals and leak goals like crazy. We are incapable of controlling games and just reliant on individual brilliance to get us out of jail. We spend the entire game firefighting and little wonder we are always picking up injuries.
He had very easy draws in the domestic cups he won. The only half decent team we played in the Carabao was Newcastle and we won that game because Casemiro and rashford showed up. In the FA cup the Liverpool game could have gone either way and that wasn’t a particularly good Liverpool team and while Erik deserves credit for the game plan that neutralised Manchester City it was achieved in a season in which we finished 8th!
There has been no progress at all and we need to make a change even if it’s appointing Ruud as caretaker for the season
