Southgate would probably be able to stop the rot and steady the fort. We'd play his cautious and cagey brand of football but at least we'd be better organized and have some kind of plan.
But we'd very quickly reach our ceiling and INEOS are pally with Southgate so would give him far too much time when at best he should be a caretaker manager for the rest of the season while we line up a permanent manager.
But yeah it is a pretty damning indication of how far Erik has fallen.

I think there's more than enough evidence that ETH is not making any progress. Last year it was injuries apparently that stopped this side from clicking, and barring the odd fluke we were crap. This year, and having spent £600m or whatever it currently stands at, there's still no discernible style of play; there's not even a recognisable shape except for a complete absence of any midfield whatsoever. If Brailsford and co are as stats obsessed as we are told, pretty much every metric shows we have remained useless during the whole of his tenure.
I want him gone, but it's a shame. I remember being at OT for his first game with my son, and it was a lovely afternoon and there was a real sense of optimism. This club, man...

The coach just over complicates the sport I think. Too many thinkers nowadays. People like Ancelotti etc never seem to talk so much about the tactics.
All these patters, combinations etc don’t go with Utd. We have always been a proper counter attacking team and should be that.

I just don't see where we go from here, honestly. I've backed ETH as much as a can but this is getting out of hand.... We've won one match against team at our level. Beating Barnsley means nothing.
Losing to Liverpool as much as I hate to say it is the only acceptable loss this season the rest are just unacceptable. The only thing that has changed is teams aren't getting 20+ chances a match every single match.
Put Ruud in, send ETH packing, and try to find a better replacement for the start of the new year.

So Bruno put a cherry on top of his so far shit season.
Took my boys to see “wild robot,” which was a good kids movie, instead of the predictable disappointment of watching United.

Bruno probably helped the manager. At least he can pretend that if it wasn't for Bruno being sent off we might have got back into the game.
And I suspect that results will probably improve without Bruno stinking the place up. If the manager had any balls he'd play Zirzkee behind Hojlund and we would probably score more goals.
