Why is it a joke?
Binning someone that the players like and will cost a fuck load of money to sack 6 months after he started. Sure, its not MY money but if thats the reason noone ever can complain about anything being spent at the club.

Your first day as the new boss, the guy did an interview the day before saying he wanted your job at some point in the future. The players like him as you said, so they have trust that they can go and whinge to him. Nah, Cheers Ruud, come back if and when you ignite your coaching career elsewhere New start, completely. |

Binning someone that the players like and will cost a fuck load of money to sack 6 months after he started. Sure, it’s not MY money but if thats the reason noone ever can complain about anything being spent at the club.
We don’t know if his contract had a clause that a full payout was only valid as long as ETH was in post and if he was sacked or resigned he had a reduced pay off. even if not we’ve got to stop lumbering managers with our past(I.e. SAF turning up at carrington or on the team bus plus ole having ex players giving the current squad team talks). We are emulating Liverpool in the 90s with that boot room mentality(it didn’t work for them and it’s not worked for us). |
