Onana kept us in the match, other than few counter attacks we offer no threat.
There is something there to work with in defence, attack is hopeless. We really need to find at least some short term CF solution in Jan.

It was crap that.
Have to take into account it was a new system of a back three featuring one wing back on one side and in footballing terms a pensioner on the other side. Then a (shit) RB at LWB and a winger at RWB.
I think the manager’s assessment is fair. Nothing was really coming naturally, which is normal in a new system, under a new manager with a makeshift team and following an international break.
I really think we need to focus on being a good defensive unit. There’s never going to be bags of goals in these players. Need to work on being hard to break down and build back from there.

His crosses have whip and precision. Hopefully he gets considered.

Onana has genuinely been one of, if not the best Utd player this season. Much more like the Inter version.

Yeah he was great today, I think with out the deflection he makes the save for their goal as well, a few more weeks of working with Ruben and a few players back we will hopefully start to see a change

This is fucking ridiculous. ruben should have just put the mic down and walked off. Who authorised old ginger bollocks to walk round the pitch at full time? It’s more unprofessional from Ipswich that sky.

They’ve had 3 training sessions to understand this new system and it showed. As much as it can dishearten me because some of the players are just shit no matter the system, I’m not going to let it just yet.
Amorim is wasn’t happy which tells me he will not settle for a tie even now so I believe he will demand more. Hell he was out there in the pitch before the match working with them…. Can’t say I’ve seen that before at this level.
Amad is an absolute dog and we really need to unleash him. The team played better with Ugarte on the pitch. Onana has had the greatest bounce back of any player in a United kit that I can remember in my 22yrs supporting this club, dude is standing on his head this year.
Zirkzee and Dalot needs to be sold.
**Edit**
Just saw quote from Amorim saying he was frustrated with Dalot positioning in the first half and Zirkzee's in the second... sums up my thoughts above about mailing them both off.

I’m not unduly upset.
The game confirmed the boss is sticking with his favoured formation and that some of the existing players ultimately won’t suit that tactic. Some of the obvious first 11 were missing, and others will take time to settle. I’m not sure that under ETH we wouldn’t have lost our heads and been beaten here.
I’m taking heart that we’re now undefeated in 5 and have a couple of very winnable home games coming up to start getting things right with the suitable players on the books. Hopefully we can find a CF fix in January, even if it’s a short-term option to see us through the season.

Disappointed in the result but he promised that we would see something and I did…
It’s a system that will hopefully work but we need to find the right players…
Stick to your guns Rúben …this is not a quick fix…
It’s taken a long time to get to the shit show that this squad is and it will take a while to get it right…

Poor result but expected when they've had two full days of training and 6/7 out of the 11 likely won't be playing in a few weeks.
Refreshing to see honesty from the manager as well when saying about Dalot's positioning being wrong and Bruno always wanting to play the long ball.
Amad needs to play further forward.
Rashford is annoying as fuck when he continually waves his arms around showing frustration.
Thought we looked better when Ugarte came on, will be an important player in this system.
Props to Onana - some good saves and I actually felt quite confident in him which has been a rarity.
If we can keep people fit and end up with something like the following I think we'll start to see some positive results and consistency;
Onana
Yoro De Ligt Martinez
Mazraoui Ugarte Mainoo Shaw
Amad Hojlund Garnacho
Would not be surprised to see Mount getting a run in the team due to his work rate and willingness to make runs into the box.
