What is very interesting is that Amorim seems happy to discuss individual performances in a way that Erik wasn't. I think Erik let players hide behind him and as a result were able to escape accountability. I can understand the desire to protect the players but they need to start doing their jobs and following instructions otherwise it is never going to work. Erik protected players except when he didn't. See, e.g., Sancho, Ronaldo.

The willingness to now say that it's the players fault is remarkable.

The willingness to now say that it's the players fault is remarkable. Are you saying we should blame the manager who joined 2 weeks before.

The willingness to now say that it's the players fault is remarkable. Except that's not what people are saying.

The willingness to now say that it's the players fault is remarkable. I see your point, but some of these players have seen a few managers come and go. When one constant remains throughout a period of failure, I think it's fair to say some of these players aren't up to it. Suspect many of these players will be gone by this time next year, and probably 5 of that XI wouldn't be starting right now if everyone was fit.
