Who watched Beckham playing for Eng-gur-land the other night at Old Trafford and couldn't help but remember the good old days when he used to play like that for us week in week out?
Forget all the negative crap that comes with having Beckham in your side, the guys set pieces, passing and free kicks were all of pinpoint accuracy and his work rate was second to none.
Granted his display the other night could just be a 1 off as we haven't seen him play like that for a long time.
Personally, I would love him back here if that's the way he'd play at Old Trafford again.

I agree, I was glad to see the back of the media hype, but not the player.

He's always been that good but the media just focus on his private life when he's a footbaler and should be judged on that, something which he is very good at!
I've missed him for ages at United, I would love him to pull that red strip on just one more time!

I've missed him for ages at United, I would love him to pull that red strip on just one more time! well being married to a Spice Girl doesn't help to keep the media away. I'm always baffled why people care to watch other people's private lives when NO ONE would appreciate it if all of the sudden you couldn't do anything without someone taking a pic, asking you a question, or speculating what you were doing with someone at a cafe....it's an absurdity. Let the man play football and if you have something to say then let it be about that...

personally if sir alex leaves us before david is over the hill i think the new manager (whoever he might be) should go out and buy becks back...even if its only to make sure the fans are on his.... because becks is a player most utd fans would want back and it would a move to get the fans on side..... because life after Fergie will be strange and difficult at first, with every mistake scrutinised...so the more things done to please the fans the better....

i would of liked beckham to stay at utd but in a way im glad he went. Towards the end it didnt seem like he was playing to his best anymore. maybe becuase of all his money or other things but i think this is why fergie got so annoyed with him. I hope beckam does well in the rest of carreer but i dont think he should come back to utd.

Stick yer pissin becham up yer hairy arses!!!!!!!! in case u have forgotten he committed an absolute crime as a 'red' After he was sent of in the World Cup in 98 the media and fans of other teams hounded him like a mass paedophile, but we the true 'reds' stood by him. Then what happened he went and stabbed us in the back #furious# by caring more about a national side and the fans that scorned him! He was puttin in top class performances for them and shit ones for us like the arsenal FA cup game. Then the cheeky fuck started demanding image rights as well as an improved contract. I'm glad Fergie twatted him, cockney fuckin tosser! Without united he would be nowhere! ....... and what do you know - Real have won nothin with him ;D

Crilly you're a *joker* do you know that!...'Without United he would be nowhere'...that's fuckin absolutely true, but without him United would not have won the Treble either and achieved much of the things we did. For you to disrespect a TRUE RED like that is rubbish! *edited* - heat of the moment!

Come on please no abuse - I'm not a mod but cannot we all accept different opinions or state your case why you don't agree with him but calling someone that name doesn't do you any favours.

Now, now cupcake, we don’t mind things getting a little heated, but personal attack’s in front of everyone is too far. Take it up via private message.

Back on to the Beckham conversation. He’s had too much media interference in his life, and although a good player for us, real and England, who knows, perhaps without everyone trying to be a part of his life, maybe he could have been even better. One of his Sons could go on to be the next Beckham, watch this space. !

From RepublikOfMancunia.org BlogUnited offered Beckham the wages he demanded straight away, only for Beckham to sit and renegotiate his contract over image rights for EIGHTEEN months. Whilst still a United player, he came out and said ”I’ve never said I would always be in Manchester, and I’ve certainly never said I would end my career there,” ( Clickit )as he clearly knew he was ready to leave. He then talks of Ferguson, saying he has been like a father to him, and that although they’ve had their ups and downs, he knows he wouldn’t be the player he is today without Ferguson. The transfer window opened, and he signed for Real Madrid straight away. “The deal was too good to turn down,” he said, ( Clickit )which is reinforcing how important playing for a club he loved was over earning more money was, right? Loved Beckham for most of the time he was at United, but I was indifferent when he left. The only great game he had in his last season was against Real. Coincidence? Really pleased he's doing well for England, but I'd never want to see him playing for United again.
