The Daily Mail is saying that Paul Scholes will make himself available for England and manager Steve McLaren after it was revealed that the reason he quit international football was due to an argument with former manager Sven Goran Eriksson and not his desire to save himself for Manchester United. www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/sport/sport.html?in_page_id=1771If this is true it's great news for international football, great news for England but bad news for Lampard!...

Scholes – arguments, I can’t see it myself. He’s too quiet. If he wants to step back on to the National side of things then I’d defiantly welcome him with open arms. I can’t blame him for not wanting to play under Sven, who continually played him out of position. Question is; would Steve give him the nod over Fat Frank, because lets be honest, crap or not, I don’t see him getting dropped.

I'd love to see Scholes back on the England squad, Fat Frank or not.

Looking at how much England missed someone like Scholes during the World Cup (I don't really mean someone like, I mean him), it would be great seeing him back again. I'll believe it when I see it though.

What would be the point of that? He's getting old now, just come back from injury we don't know yet how well he can perform and the next tournament is in 2 years! England have to look forward not back. But yeah he's 10 times the player Lampard is!

Yeah same here, hell be 33 at the next tournie, though having him in the team could help the other lads, but I dont think its too likely to happen, nice thought though!

It depends whos on form really. If Lampard and Gerrard are theres no point. If they are playing like the last world cup Scholes should be in, no question. You saw Zidane, he was magic and he was about 34.

I don't think it's going to affect us as McClaren will most likely stick with the same midfielders Eriksson did....the in effective pairing of Fattie Frank and "I Put My Transfer In" Gerrard will hopefully be resolved however.
