i reaaaaaaaally loved that move ronaldo made in the first minutes, when he made some step overs from the right, then had a great shot on the right side of robinson's. it was pretty pure class !!

Bout time games like these STOPPED slipping away from us....
some good moments
some nail biting moments
but we got the points
and we can now go into the next 2 massive games with a 100% start in tact
Neville was outstanding, as ever, Park looked nippy and a real scrapper as usual!
evra is impressing me to,
its all good at old trafford!

Yawn. What a dull game. Brown MoM with Giggs close 2nd. Ronaldo and VDS were decent as well. Carrick was poor in the first half and Krich was disgraceful all game. Hope it all improves for Celtic.

Van der Sar is a beast. Best goalkeeper since schmeichel, if it wasnt for him and some good saves by brown we would of lost that game.

Player ratings from MENPlayer ratings: United v Tottenham PLAYER Ratings from the Reds win over Tottenham. 7 Van der Sar: Called on twice to be alert and was alive to the danger Spurs briefly presented. 8 Neville: Good penetrative return to action from the skipper. Created problems down his flank. 7 Evra: Another solid and decent performance to add to his fast-growing credit column for United. 6 Ferdinand: Dodgy first half when the defender’s distribution put Reds in danger but recovered. 6 Brown: When Defoe replaced Keane his evening got somewhat more uncomfortable. 7 Ronaldo: Flashes of brilliance that unsettled Tottenham but it was a battle to impose himself. 7 Carrick: Wooed Old Trafford on his home debut with his vision and execution of a killer pass. 7 O’Shea: Went about his job in a calm and quiet way and never allowed Spurs midfield to get a grip. 5 Richardson: Unable to really force himself upon Spurs and later got too involved in some niggly incidents. 7 Giggs: Began in majestic form looking a danger and scoring early but Reds didn’t respond enough and it became a struggle. 5 Saha: Saw no penalty box chances for so long that when they finally came he didn’t know what to do with them. Subs: 5 Park (sub Richardson 70) Not much impact. 5 Fletcher (sub Carrick 79) Hardly saw the ball

That was too much. Too bloody much. We were rubbish on most occasions. We were lucky to even score our goal. It came from nothing and had some luck in it. Just glad we won. Now we have the boy wonder and the ginger assassin back. Not the strongest performance by us, though it was good to see Evra doing well especially in the first half. I think they're going to have to take a look at the tape of the match and make some adjustments because we were sloppy in the second half as there were some silly give aways. Spurs just needed better finishing because the chances were there...more than I felt comfortable with. The great thing is that despite our shakey performance we still managed to get the win....now bring on the gooners!!

It just seemed like they took their foot off the pedal knowing Rooney and Scholes as a minimum will be back after this, although watching it you kinda knew they could step it up if needed. Saha must have been through 3-4 times? Just not his day but when its really needed i think they'll be the ones going in. On a different note, Anybody seen the Bardsley free-kick he scored today? Not seen it myself only heard of it.

Well we started well but when Giggsy got the smack in the mouth and we were down to 10 men for a few minutes spurs got back into it and we never picked it up again and can count ourselves lucky to have got the 3 points, can't believe Mido missed that chance but I'm glad he did.
Richardson was terrible and should have been brought off sooner but it seemed we didn't want to call on Park too soon as he's travelled a lot in the week. Carrick did pretty well for his first game and Ronaldo and Giggs are looking really sharp, Rio was probably our weakest link in defense with some poor passing and I don't think O'Shea imposed himself on the game at all.
Overall it was a nervy game and one we could quite easily have dropped points in but we didn't and our fantastic start continues and now we get Rooney and Scholes back #yahoo#

Hmm, alright game. Spurs didnt really show up, although they had a couple of chances they should have put away. United weren't anything too special either, and Saha had a pretty lousy day today actually. Seemed to be really lacking in confidence. Ronaldo wasnt his usual self today either. However, thanks to him we got the goal. Cracking free kick, man, he just hit it SO hard, and Robinson's only option was to hit it away from goal...surprised it didnt break his wrists!
Wes Brown, wow. Didnt do a thing wrong today. Won every 50/50 ball, was everywhere he needed to be, so impressed. And Evra, another really good game from him. Seems he really just needed a few games to adjust to this league, because he's been great this season. Carrick held himself well.
Pleased with the result...even more so after arriving at the ground to be told Liverpool got thrashed by Everton ;D

Evra, another really good game from him. Seems he really just needed a few games to adjust to this league, because he's been great this season. Was also impressed with Evra, only spotted one moment in the second half where he lost discipline and ran forward to tackle someone leaving another completely open..
