i have a feeling that liverpool will beat chelsea, and we will beat la arse, we would be 6 points ahead of chelsea, 13 ahead of arsenal and 7 ahead of liverpool, with a 100% record. How I wish it were possible for both of those teams to not get any points out of that match...a special rule should be made.

Actually, that would be 8 points ahead of Liverpool, even better. ;D I had a feeling we would draw though, however if Henry doesn't play, that would be a huge blow for them and in that case I really won't see them snatching a point.

Really looking forward to this game and more confident in a win than in the last few matches against them. They are certainly not looking like the team of the last few years and though they will be up for it got to be a win for us. Feel real sorry for Giggsy getting this injury when he's been suberb in the last few games and hope he comes back as he left.

Man I wish the game was tomorrow. Can we all really wait until Sunday afternoon?? I am sooooo psyched!! Later today I'm going to warm up my singing voice because it will be on tomorrow! I'm going to get to the pub an hour early to make sure I get in because it gets packed. I'm sure I'll run into the Chelsea and Liverpool supporters on the way out from watching their match so it'll be fun giving them some stick.

I'm looking forward to the game because I think it's going to be a cracking match but I also think it's going to be nerve racking as Arsenal will be out to prove a point and should make it difficult, we know they'll make chances it's just whether they continue their trend of missing or if they stick a couple away, equally though we're also guaranteed to make numerous chances and have to be clinical when they come up.
I really don't know what to think about it, we could quite easily win the game by 2 or 3 goals but if Arsenal get lucky they could nick it. I'm going to stay positive and go for 2-0 united.

Paul Scholes to get the first goal is 17/2. I couldn't resist. I put a fiver on. By far this is going to be our most difficult game so far. It will be tough, Giggs being out for us is a big blow. But we have to ask ourselves, who has received the biggest blow? Giggs being ruled out for us, or Henry being doubtful for them? While Giggs is brilliant for us, an Arsenal team without Thierry Henry simply isn't Arsenal.

They have Baptista, Van Persie, Rosicky, Fabregas and I for one won't believe Henry is out until the game starts and he isn't involved because Wenger has a past of pulling these tricks. Those four players will pose a threat, so don't be too confident.
I think United underestimated Celtic on Wednesday which is the reason for conceding two goals we shouldn't have. We won't do that this Sunday or atleast we shouldn't.

Arsenal have many players who have been more important to them as of late than Henry, their problem is that they highly depended on the motivator that for them was Vieira. Henry doesn't have presence, he has arrogance, which although might help him as a striker does not help spur the team on.
They cannot be underestimated though, as although Arsenal have struggled to score this far in the season, they have done everything right up to the point where they should score, and I really hope they will not start finding their goal form against us. (read as: I hope our defenders don't sleep on duty like they did against Celtic)

From The Guardian:
Manchester United
The three-match suspensions just served by Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes have complicated United's start to the season, though not as much as the arrival of Owen Hargreaves would have done had Bayern Munich been willing to sell him. Most people feel a midfield of Michael Carrick and Hargreaves would be too defensive for United, whatever tricks Cristiano Ronaldo and the now-injured Ryan Giggs might produce on the wings. The purchase of Hargreaves would also have pushed out Paul Scholes, unjustifiably on the evidence of Wednesday's Champions League victory over Celtic. So maybe Bayern's intransigence was a blessing in disguise for United, who have any number of attacking midfield permutations when Park Ji-Sung and Alan Smith join Kieran Richardson and Darren Fletcher on the fit list. The one question that has not been settled yet is how United replace Ruud van Nistelrooy. Rooney and Louis Saha are the first-choice front pair, but though the French striker's pace and mobility offer a different type of threat to Van Nistelrooy's refined brand of goal-hanging, there is some doubt over whether he is as reliable a finisher. Despite overwhelming superiority in their last two games, United could easily have been embarrassed by late goals from Spurs and Celtic in what turned out to be narrow victories. Saha missed chances in both and it was not clear whether Sir Alex Ferguson was bragging or complaining when he said Saha could have set a European goals record on Wednesday.
Arsenal
The answer to Arsenal's flaky league form is, if Arsene Wenger studies the video of last season's Champions League run, staring him in the face. Now is the perfect time to return to and develop his dalliance with 4-5-1. Planting another body in the centre of midfield to share the burden on Cesc Fabregas and Gilberto would at once make Arsenal more robust, and address the fact the squad is short of pacy wingers. Theo Walcott has looked their liveliest option there but Wenger has already said he will use the boy wonder sparingly. Thomas Rosicky is clearly gifted but might be even more dangerous in a freer role. Alexandr Hleb and Freddie Ljungberg have mostly played wide this season - conspicuously without penetration. A flexible 4-5-1/4-3-3, with the wide players pushing up front whenever possible a la Chelsea in the last couple of seasons, should suit Arsenal's personnel better. Because so many experienced players left the club in the summer, there are quite a few unknown quantities. What is Julio Baptista's best position? Is Rosicky physically strong enough to weave his craft centrally? Should William Gallas play in the middle when Gael Clichy is back from injury or might he show more willingness to stay at left back at Arsenal so Philippe Senderos can pick up his partnership with Kolo Toure? Once upon a time the back four tripped off the tongue. Not at the moment it doesn't. But it is further forward that Arsenal need to find answers more urgently.

They were paying the old united games earlier on that classic sports channel, games from the 70's and 80's finished off by the 1999 Fa cup semi against Arsenal. I watched the 1983 Fa cup semi. Great game aswell. Arsenal started well, playing some slick football and took the lead early on. United battled back and dominated but found themselves behind at the break. United finally get one back through a stunning Volley from Norman Whiteside, then almost go ahead from a whiteside corner headed by Robson and brilliantly saved by the Arsenal keeper. Remi Moses - the first black player to score for utd (and with one hell of an afro) dominated the midfield and along with Robson kept Arsenal at bay. Finally brilliant cross by whiteside, robson chest down and runs into the box before firing a brilliant strike past the keeper and into the bottom left corner. Utd ran out winners, scenes of joy, as Ron Atkinson along with fans invaded the pitch. United went on to win the Fa cup. So good omen for the game today. I think, I'll go for a 2:1 Utd now!
