i was waaay too glad seein' giggs comin' back. but for me, rooney stole the show today. keepin' in mind as well saha's goal. great control 'n a superb finish !!
rooney's waaaay better when he plays just behind the strikers, 'n i guess sir alex would keep that in mind for future games. 'cause you can't really get everythin' from wayne when he plays as a left wing

I thought Rooney and Evra were our outstanding players today - I've been very impressed with Evra this season. Giggs changed the game by coming on, and with Ronaldo to come back its looking very very good. Bring on Liverpool!

giggs and ronaldo will be great together, for me, the best 2 wingers in the prem by far.

Much improved second half, Giggs coming on completely transformed us because it allowed us to play a proper formation along with the fact it was Giggs, we were just a lot more balanced with him there and Rooney causing havoc through the middle. I thought for a while it wasn't going to come as in the first half we never looked like scoring (apart from something out of nothing from Rooney) and then we missed a few great opportunities (Saha) but Vidic chose a great time to get his first goal and from that point on there was only ever going to be one winner. We were dominant today but we had to do it the hard way and I hope the first half tells Fergie NEVER to play that formation again (at least when Rooney's in the team)

What a cracking game of football. Wigan looked pretty comfortable for large parts of the first half, but United thoroughly deserved 3 points. Some of the football was absolutely amazing. I worried at times it might be one of those days, where we batter the opposition, but then leave with 0 or 1 point, but after we equalised, you knew who the winners were going to be.
What I'm most happy about with United this season is that we've been missing key players, but still come out with a result. To go without Giggs for so long, and then to be without Ronaldo today. When I looked at the lineup I was a little worried to see NO wingers.
Rooney was great. Saha's goal was brilliant. His first touch? Fucking ell. Lol how the ref didnt give a penalty for Giggs being wiped out in the box I dont know! All in all, very pleased. Just hoping now Reading play against Chelsea like they did against us!

Notice how Saha still needs 3 chances to score 1? He misses a lot of easy chances. Meh I'm being too critical. It’s been a good day (first half aside) winning 3 – 1 and Preston are winning 3 – 0, good stuff. Now all I want is for Blackburn to keep hold of their lead and for Reading to get something against Chelsea.

Scoring 1 goal in 3 chances isn't bad. Who are we comparing him to here?

Bennett is a fucking cunt really pissed me off. Ha, ha you just know Andy Gray wanted to say something bad about Steve Bennett today. There are just some referees you know are out to be cunts towards us. And Bennett is one of them. I’ve never liked him. Cracking goal from Baines though wasn’t it.

Glad Fergie saw the light and went 4-4-2, was a great 2nd half performance. Rooney looks to be well on the way back to his best as well.

Solskjaer was great... and GOD am I glad to have Giggsy back Have to admit I was worried in the first half, but a few minutes into the second half and it was getting obvious we had a big chance at taking a point or three. Bennet was being a knobend, no surprises there, and that's about what I have to say I think... O'shea did well to, considering he gets moved about quite a lot, and Carrick and Scholes working well together. We were definitively missing some proper leadership in the first half.... but all in all a good match!

When Saha knocked that one-on-one wide I thought it was not going to be our day and we'd suffer another setback, I feel in the first half we missed the influence of Ronaldo. Someone who could beat defenders and hold the ball up, bringing others into play come half time Fergie introduces Giggs and changes our shape. Exactly what we needed and it had the desired effect.
Rooney played well, Ole was outstanding. Evra also impressed again. Saha's finish was great, if Henry scored it everybody would be wetting themselves but arh well. Solskjaer's goal was also great, his balance, composure and ease where classic Solskjaer. His sixth goal of the season and fifth in the league, our top scorer in the Prem.
Saha became our overall top scorer with a fantastic goal. What a ball from Rooney and what control from Louis.
Vidic enjoyed his goal, eh? And, how the fuck did Rio get booked for that challenge?, what a joke!
Anyways, 3 points after the international break is what was called for we've got that and now let's beat Copenhagen and qualify from our group and then beat the Dippers next weekend. Come on United!
P.S. How long has it been since we've heard United fans sing "We shall not be moved" ?
