rooney was class today. he cud of scored but decided to be unselfish even tho he was in a gud position an recievin stick for his recent performances. well dun lad!

was that good or what? i have to say even when baines scored that beauty i was never worried whether united would come back or not.unfortunately for wigan there was just too much time left on the clock.
brilliant 2nd half display. i think the change to 442, giggs' introduction and SAF's half-time hairdryer did the trick. brilliant goal from vidic, i thought him and rio were pretty good today, as were scholes, giggs, ole and of course rooney. now i just cant wait til we get ronaldo, nevs and gaby back(tho evra is by no means inferior). how bloody fantastic is our lineup gonna be then eh?
steve bennet should've been red carded, that fool! #redcard#
did anyone watch the reading match. i hate chelski but those goalies really got clobbered dint they? even i felt SLIGHTLY bad when they went down.

First half we were shite and I thought we would lose. Giggs came on and lifted the team, the formation changed and Rooney turned on "world domination mode". Great second half performance!!!

From around the 30th Minute to the last kick Wigan were barely in it.
And the ref had a shocker of a game.

In the first half we weren't good enough, we were trying to get forward and being caught on the break everything looked rushed and it just looked like it was going to be one of those days where nothing goes our way, the freekick is a good example. What a goal by the way and we were fortunate not to go 2 behind with them catching us on the break and with another crafty freekick. Last seaon I would have been worried, seeing Rooney's shot come of the bar and then Saha missing a sitter, it just reminded me of last season, where we'd have chance after chance and then end up dropping points. We're much stronger this year with Scholes back and Ole what can you say?
Saha's saying he had a bad game, ok he was offside but his general play and control is as good as anyones, he is one of the best forwards around and what a goal

Nice to see Vidic get on the scoresheet. He should have had one last game, nice to see we have someone dangerous from set pieces.
