I thought we might have learnt this lesson by now- needless tampering with the team and a lack of respect to the opposition brings embarrassing defeats away in Europe. Ah well maybe next time! #shakehead#

if only scholes could have played earlier or even from the start instead of o'shea, we would have seen a better show !! but the good news is that celtic lost 3-0 !!

didnt we take anything from last year in uefa.. i mean how do u expect attacking play with oshea fletch and an unsettled carrick. from what it sounds like we relied on ronaldo and rooney alot.
Ole is injured? little knocks can become big problems for ageing stars.. hope its okie

we move on now we can only win our next game and put this behind us we have to take in to account that if giggs saha and neville had have been fit it would have been a very different result which goes to show we do need to sign a few players in january.

rubbish performance...can't believe how rubbish O'shea is ... and silvestre's clumsiness should be at a damn circus....that's a lesson for fergie....never put scholesy on the bench...EVER....

Very disappointing result. I didn't underestimate them because playing away is always difficult but I though we should have been able to get a goal in. Rio and Scholes were brought in later on and now I wonder if it would have been a safer bet to have started Scholes to see if we can get the goal then subbed him later on. Oh well...on to Glasgow which after the last match against him we have to show up ready to play.

yea i have no idea what's the point of havin' scholes on the bench !! if it's about the eye problem, then it's sooo clear that it's not that serious, 'cause sir alex did take him for the game !!

Not good news really, means we have to win at Celtic then entertain Chelsea the following weekend, plus we have picked up a few injures. How come he said he would play his best team then rested key players lol?

i think that he was testing the team. I have full faith in fergie that he did not do this just to rest the players...he must be testing his team because he knows that some of the key players will be replaced in the future due to age and he will need new players. Thus, he might be testing to see which ones will not falter in times of need and thus not be replaced

Oh dear. I didnt think we were dreadful. Copenhagen were the better team in the first half, we were the better team in the second. Cant quite believe we didnt score. Dont know what was going through Ronnies head to be 2 yards offside in the dying seconds though.
Oh well. Still top of the group. Just puts needless pressure on our next two games, the Celtic away game we play within a few days of Chelsea.

I don't think any united player came out of tonights game with any credit really, it was a completely lackluster performance and watching it was painful, the players and manager both have to take blame though, Fergie shouldn't have made as many changes as he did, we already had key players out through injury and to rest more was a mistake but equally the players he did put on didn't step up. Once again we've been punished for our overconfidence and it's really disappointing to see the team act like that, it's just made things more difficult than they needed to be.
