Well, I said yesterday that Sir Alex didn’t have Rafael Benitez syndrome anymore. Seems he actually still does. Talk about upsetting the team, what happened to starting his strongest side? Way to go. I don’t care how scrappy their goal was. We underestimated them. It was a horrid performance and really boring to watch. I found myself flicking over to the other games a lot of the time.

Yeah we went in with too much confidence and not much of a game plan. Fergie could have done much better with the team organization and even the players should have passed better, gone after the ball, and should not have missed as much!! We weren't as aggressive, and let the ball go more often than we should have. Most of the time it felt like i was watching some untrained and over aged players against a very young side!!
SAF blames the pitch and the defense...i blame the whole team!!...bad pitch or not...they are all professionals and should be able to play at their top form!...we missed giggs, neville and saha and we lost the touch!...giggs n neville arent gonna be with us for too long...we need get the remaining side be able to play up to the mark!! This game was disappointing to no end!

I've not seen the match or read any comments but I'd like to preemptively blame the goal on Silvestre.

This game was disappointing to no end! If bad pitches are a problem then perhaps they should set up a bad pitch at Carrington so the players won't be surprised when they play on one. Fergie took a chance tinkering with the line up and I'm not upset at that because you need to mix it up too (though not be Rafa-esque) but the players need to take some of the blame as well. You have to get out there and treat every opponent as if they were a top notch side because you'll play sharp. The win today would have taken a bit of pressure off of the match against Celtic but now we have to win in Celtic Park, which after the display they put on at OT, will be a tough task. I hope that Fergie sticks with our strongest line up for that match.

hmm i couldnt watch the match. what exactly went wrong? starting line up looked slightly dodgy to me. if rio and scholes were not injured why dint they start? snuck a peak at the tv around the 33rd min. pitch looked like absolute shit but its not an excuse. maybe if fergie had really wanted to test a new lineup he couldve started with his strongest side and then, if and when the result was secure, could have started tinkering around. personally i feel that this was our easiest game out of the remaining 3 with which to secure qualification. benefica at home and celtic away will be pretty tough.nevermind, another lesson learnt in europe i guess. full faith in fergie and the team to bounce back. seems like we need to start finding solid replacements for giggs and nev(they're no spring chickens) as their injuries keep recurring and they are sorely missed.our backup doesnt seem sufficient at the moment. disappointing result. hope they come back and thrash portsmouth.pompey wont know what hit them.

The manager has got to rest key players, they cant play every 3 days, the problem is the squad players lack quality, this has been a problem for a couple of seasons, oshea gets more embarrasing by the game, when your midfield cant pass a ball to each other you will not be able to control a game never mind win one

O'shit as I call him....... Dont be down hearted about this loss. It shouldn't matter a fuck. It just means we have to go to Glasgow and win. Should be a very good game. We will still; qualify for the next round.

Strength in depth is not their like 99 etc...
Very dissapointed and not impressed with the whole team.
Other 'contenders' for the C/L would have done better against these I suspect...
Anyway - its gone - Copenhagen have had their night of glory and we move on to Celtic Park.
I am hoping (and expecting) a much better performance and a positive result!

Park was missed in this game, along with another striker.

Fergie cannot be blamed about that result, not at all. The XI we had out should have won the game, Rooney should have scored another hat trick, he had three easy opportunities.
I wasn't that angry about the result, disappointed yet but angry? No. I thought it was just one of those things.
We will still qualify in first position. I guarantee that.

Doesnt matter what team Fergie puts out, all of them are professional footballers and should be able to take the game to every team they play against without being cocky and underestimating. IF there is any finger pointing to be done then my finger points to the players...
BUT i thought we were unlucky tbh...

The match was ours to lose and we did. What's disappointing is that now we have to go to Glasgow and get a win there which I feel will be a harder task than Copenhagen at home especially after the last time we faced them.
