Manchester United kick off the New Year with a tricky away tie versus Roeder's revitalized Newcastle side. Six points clear at the top with the opportunity of extending that difference for 24 hours atleast to nine, United will be going all out for the win and to start the year as they ended the last. Neville - Ferdinand - Brown - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Scholes - Giggs
Rooney - Saha Prediction: 2-0 UNITED - Rooney & Saha - "For the trip to Newcastle, United will have Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes back against Newcastle, while Gary Neville, contrary to some newspaper reports, is fit and will play at St James’ Park." Source: ManUtd.com

Lol @ contrary newspaper reports! Dissapointing result for the giant barcode this morn, but their performaces have been impressive over the last few games. Our's have been better though, so im confident for a win. Any win will do me, as long as we score many... Good to have players back too, depsite 6 point lead we need to keep the intensity up in our performances. I hope we dont try to play 'patient', we work magnificently well when we play at full pace attack.

VDS needs to play better than he did last time out against wigan. Sonko's goal was 100% VDS' fault.
I think VDS will step up to the plate and perform like he normally does.
2-0 United: Scorers: Rooney and i am goinng to take a wild guess: Ronaldo

Think this could be pretty tough. Newcastle have won their last 4 games at home, and will always raise their game for us. I think we'll win it, just because we look great at the moment, and should have our first XI playing... with Saha fresh and wanting to prove a point, Nev wanting to lead his team to a better place in the league.
So I'll go with 2-1 to us. (if we score an early goal though, the scoreline should be more flattering, because we're on fire after we score)

2-1 as well. Rooney to score one. Newcastle according to the media have quite a few defenders out, still, i see it being a nervy win.

Dont think it will be easy tomorrow 2-1 Utd, always a good away with not so many day trippers and a good place for a few beers.

4-1 to us. Nicky Butt will probly be playing CB and their LB is an untried youngster, Solano playing RB. 2 for Rooney only one for Ronaldo ( but he'll hit the bar) and one for Saha. Ithink a Nicky Butt last minute consolation header will be the order of the day.
