I didnt watch the game but it seemed like we dominated (71% possesion and mass shots on target).
Good game by our "young" striking duo and rooney had two assists which is almost as good as scoring a goal.

Rooney played good in constructing passes but in front f goal he was terrible. But all in all 2 assists is good enough. TRibute to larsson and OLE!!!!!!!!! 2 kings! Our problem from last year is coming back to hit us, We are missing to many chances in frontt of goal. But now that weve got larsson i think we will fix that.

Park - superb player, vastly vastly underrated. Never seen a more underrated player.
Admittedly though he has been shocking since he got back, but the point is, he is still not near full match fitness, and hasn't had games for a while.
All of a sudden we have a ton of strikers at teh club, which isnt great new for Rossi and Dong. Smith is nearing his comeback, Ole is on form, Legend Larsson has to play, Rooney and Shaa are still first choice pair, though Saha is out and Rooney will be tiring.
Regardless, we need to give breaks to Ronaldo, Scholes and Giggs at some point. We lack a second winger and the aggressive defensive mid.
Carrick was superb against newcastle since he came on. Couldnt have asked anything more of him. He really has been an influencing factor for the defence, he does have sufficient deensive capaibility, when he plays we dont concede as many. Hes really come into it for us, hasnt had the praise he has deserved.

True that David Gill....Its been a thorn in our side for a long while now. I wish Rooney would no miss so many chances and same with Ronaldo. If they both capitalize on even 50% of the strikes they made, we'd win by atleast 5-1 or 6-1!!

Larsson was very lively today. He played as if he had been with United for years he made the adjustment to our team very easily.
Im thinking of getting his jersey soon ;D

Tomasz was fine really, nothing he could have done about the goal. It's nice to have a substitute keeper we can trust.
Larsson played very well, and they'll be more to come from as he's not played in a while.
Park is clearly not fully back to himself, but he'll get there, and I still place an un-match fit Park over Richardson.
Rooney just needs the final touch really, he'll be fine.
Also!
Message to Carrick: STOP SHOOTING! Although he played some quality passes today.

Man we cut that one close, but the result is the right result. You hear Shearer after the game "Villa deserved a replay at the least" lol wtf was he watching? We're going to have to improve our finishing though, that's for sure. I mean, we were without our main striker, so I suppose that excuses part of the season for us not scoring more, but still. Rooney still looks miles off the mark in front of goal. Provided both though today, which is something.
And Larsson?? Fuck me, he looks great. You wouldnt believe he was 35 and hasnt played football in over a month would you! He could have had 3 or 4 today, but I'll more than happily take the 1
We miss Scholesy in midfield though, and although I think Ryan did a good enough job in the position, it's nothing like how Scholes has been for us this season.

Message to Carrick: STOP SHOOTING! The crowd call for him to shoot everytime he's outside the area, and today he listened more than he usually does.

I thought in general we played well, bit messy at times. We never really hit our full gear, but thats a good sign, we were good enough for the win despite not playing our best. Park impressed me too, and Im very happy with how Carrick is fitting in. I reckon if Scholes was on we would have won that by a lot more. Delighted for Larsson getting his goal, he took it very well.
And Dizzy, cant help but notice Immortal Technique in your sig, good stuff!
