Good news about petrov .. takes out the motor of their engine ... it should be an easier match than the FA cup one due to the fact that in cups underdogs are much more eager to play .. this time , no mistakes and PLEASE no injury time winners for the sake of our hearts ( might pop for sudden surge of ecstacy )

3-0
Solskjaer, Larsson, Ronaldo
Without Petrov their only real outlets are Agbonlahor and Baros or Angel, i fancy our lads to handle them easy.

I've predicted Carrick scoring before, it's never gonna happen.

yeah i hope carrick scores too..is he the only one in the team yet to score? i think so. and i also think roon should be given a break. and when's alan smith coming back? i think with scholes back in our side and petrov out of theirs, we should do ok. hopefully we'll have the same amt of posession as we did in the cup game and make full use of our chances this time. that injury time winner nearly did my heart in, i cant handle another one.

I'd stick with Wes, too. The faults he did in the last game where mostly because he got the ball when they were already putting up a pressing so it weren't his faults really. As for Rooney. I don't think he needs a break. A game every week shouldn't be a problem for a fit lad. Anyway his linkup with Larsson is amazing and he assisted both our goals.

Wes wont play, he's out with the flu.

Now he'll miss his chance on holding down a place in the XI, that's how hard it is. One flu and you're out..it's a shame that. I'm not criticising Vida, I think he's great and fully deserving of his starting place but I really wanted Wes to mount a challenge and by starting versus Villa try and hold the spot down for a run of games..but it probably won't happen because of Vida's great form and reinstatement to the XI tomorrow.

Preview: United v Villa
UNITED manager Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to ring the changes against Aston Villa after the FA Cup victory over the same club.
Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes are in line to return after sitting out the third-round match.
Former Barcelona and Celtic striker Henrik Larsson is pushing to retain his place in the team after arriving on loan from Helsingborg. Louis Saha could also come into contention after suffering a groin injury two weeks ago. Wes Brown will miss out because he is suffering with a virus.
Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg will return after suspension for the third meeting in as many weeks with Ferguson’s side.
The Sweden international was banned for the FA Cup defeat at Old Trafford last weekend after incurring five bookings this season.
Midfielder Stiliyan Petrov is being rested to allow him to recover completely from his recent hamstring problem and his place is likely to be taken by Steven Davis.
But striker Chris Sutton is still sidelined after showing no improvement in his eye problem and midfielder Craig Gardner’s groin injury is taking longer to heal than expected.
Manchester United (from): Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, Evra, Heinze, Ronaldo, Park, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, O'Shea, Richardson, Saha, Giggs, Rooney, Solskjaer, Larsson.
Aston Villa (from): Sorensen, Kiraly, Mellberg, Hughes, Cahill, Ridgewell, Bouma, Agbonlahor, McCann, Davis, Osbourne, Barry, Angel, Baros, Samuel, Djemba-Djemba, Hendrie, Berger.
Last season: United 1 Aston Villa 0
Key opponent: Gavin McCann - Tireless battler in midfield and Villa's unsung hero
Prediction: United 2 Aston Villa 0 - The return of Scholes should lead to a comfortable home win

This fixtures getting boring. 3-1. Carrick diving header (he's a big lad he must be able to head...oh wait Crouch is fairly large...) to open the scoring and then a Rio left foot, right foot, head hat trick.
