Fletcher had an acceptable gmae, rarely gave the ball away and was hassling Ambrose more or less every time he got near the ball. And a good burst from midfield for the goal.
But how good was Rooney?

Well to give the ball away you would have to actually have the ball in the first place. I know I am one to critic Fletcher, but he has been ok this season as backup. He was not OK yesterday, he was awful.

I thought Fletch was pretty bad yesterday, but he's played quite well at other times this season.

Fletcher's scored 3 times in 11 starts this season. Not bad.

I thought Fletch was pretty bad yesterday, but he's played quite well at other times this season. yesterday's performance won't make a Fletcher highlight reel except for the goal. I wouldn't have even known he was playing otherwise; he scored an insurance goal so I'm glad he contributed.

Fletch always gets a lot of stick whenever he plays, but the one thing you know that you'll get from Fletch is work rate. Even if he's not playing well he'll always work hard.

Fletcher's played bad every game he's had on the right hand side, he's clearly better in the centre, but he disappers from games completely for periods of 20- 30 minutes. Seemed like Scholes was all alone in there..

Charlton are due a result so it could be one of those games (eg West Ham) but it would be nice for another 4-0! Im going 2-0 United, prove me wrong lads ;D

Meant when he has been on right mid this season, he's disappeared, ditto in the centre, but he's marginly better in the middle. I know he wasn't on the right against Charlton

United didn't play great but there will be games like that - so long as they grind out a result and get three points... That's the sign of champions isn't it!
Lets not be to critical on the lads - I thought Charlton done well!
Out the way Reading I guess

Ok, so bar one game he's disappeared for the majority of games. If your going to nit-pick i could just go into the overwhelming argument of would Fletcher get into the squad let alone the team of any of the teams we consider ourselves on a par with, such as Chelsea, Barca? Bar injuries forcing it, No, i don't think so An argument for another time maybe.. seeing as we all still know our midfield has the weakest cover of all our rivals.
