United begin a cup double header in a vital week in the Treble hunt with this FA Cup 5th Round match versus Reading at Old Trafford. Fergie may look to rest a few players with Lille coming up and Coppell has said he will rotate with having the added bonus of having all four strikers fit and raring to go. Adam's XIKuszczak
Brown - Ferdinand - Vidic - Heinzé
Ronaldo - Carrick - Park - Richardson
Saha - Larsson Prediction: 3-1 UNITED; Saha, Ronaldo and Larsson. United to continue charge at Treble with comfortable victory.

I think he'll rest players but I'm not sure that he'll rest Scholes and Giggs. Probably one of the two, but I doubt both. Apart from that I agree with your team. I hope I don't see Richardson.

Also agree. Like to see Giggsy and Scholes play and would rather they started and have Park and somone else on if we are looking comfortable. Haven't heard anything about Smithy recently. Anyone know anything?

Anyone know anything? I would be comfortable with that as well. I think we'll be able to get a goal in the first half and then bring on the squad players.

Even though we are at home, a midfield that consists of Richardson and Fletcher has to be worrying. I am a little scared
2-1 united

Even though we are at home, a midfield that consists of Richardson and Fletcher has to be worrying. I am a little scared 2-1 united I wouldn't want them to start. Richardson is very inconsistent and Fletcher was invisible in the Charlton match except for the goal he score which I think he ran straight from the bench to score then ran back and sat down. In fairness to Fletcher he's been better than Richardson though.

Well I think Fletch wasn't good against Charlton, but he's done a good job on the whole for us this season. As for Richardson, I despair! How is he still at United. He just doesn't look any near good enough. It might seem like I'm being harsh, but I really dislike him!

I think we'll start with a strong team, our strongest side hasn't played together for a while and we can't keep resting people or the rythm will eventually go as it started to against Charlton.
Saha looked out of it against Charlton, he needs more games and needs to be of use to us when Larsson is gone, we need another to be up and ready as well, so whether it's Smith or Solskjaer, one of them needs to be playing.
Maybe rest Giggs for Park, give Heinze a start as Evra seems to have played for a while now with no break, same for Neville. Richardson was crap last time he started, if he does start we'll need him to be on his game for once.

I can't see Smith starting for us so Ole will be our back up unless Fergie decides to start Ole instead which I doubt. Just hope we don't take this match lightly.

I think that it should be a resonably comfortable day. I dont want to be over confident, but Reading do tend to play a weaker side in the F.A Cup so I think we will be ok.
Ill go for a line up of
Kusczack Neville Vidic Rio Gaby Ronny Carrick Scholesy Park Saha Larsson
Subs- Heaton, Brown, O'shea, Ole, Fletch

I just hope that we don't underestimate them too much. I would hate to end up going out of the Cup at this stage.

Exactly, Coppell has confirmed he'll play his "cup team" which means they'll be weakened but we need to play at our best if we want to win this. A defeat or replay would be hell at this stage of the season and we all remember what happened versus Burton.

Could be few changes in both teams so hopefully that'll work in our favour in that we won't be facing their first 11 and surely our back-up is better than their back-up........on second thoughts though..... nah i reckon we'll win 3-1.
