Preview from M.E.NCRISTIANO Ronaldo is expected to return to the United line-up in the FA Cup clash with Reading at Old Trafford. The Portugal winger has recovered from the virus which kept him out of last week's win over Charlton and should be one of three or four changes for the Red Devils. Wayne Rooney is suspended, and Edwin van der Sar is still missing - although manager Sir Alex Ferguson hopes the Dutchman will return in the Champions League tie against Lille next Tuesday, after breaking his nose. Reading will monitor the fitness of striker Kevin Doyle ahead of the game. Doyle has almost recovered from the hamstring problem which has sidelined him for more than a month and manager Steve Coppell, who intends to play fringe players at Old Trafford, will make a late decision on the Irishman. Coppell has no other injury worries but new signings Michael Duberry and Greg Halford are both cup-tied. Manchester United (from): Kuszczak, Heaton, Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, O'Shea, Evra, Heinze, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick, Park, Giggs, Richardson, Saha, Solskjaer, Larsson. Reading (from): Federici, Hahnemann, de la Cruz, Murty, Ingimarsson, Bikey, Sodje, Shorey, Seol, Oster, Gunnarsson, Convey, Lita, Kitson, Long, Doyle, Hunt, Harper, Sidwell, Little. Key opponent: Steve Sidwell - Reading's driving force in midfield and he has an eye for goal too Prediction: United 2 Reading 0 - Reading will be tought opponents but, especially with Ronaldo back, the Reds should go through

Kuszczak was absolutely shite, let him stay with West Brom please Fergie. Makes the Howard sale look stupid after that performance.
Fletcher was our best player

Poor, wasteful. Sums up the match.
Brown played well, so did Carrick, beautiful goal. Not good enough today, not by a long shot. I'm not going to say anything more about the match at the moment, too bloody pissed off.

Anyone else pissed off. Team selection wrong. It wasn't his fault, but why is it that we never get a clean sheet when Silvestre plays. Fletcher should of gone off, not park. Fair play to Reading, they didnt collapse and they made a go of it.
2 poor performances at home in 2 games. No positives really, except we are still in it. Its a replay we did not need with our busy schedule. Chelsea have to be happy. Ill not talk about Saha's display. #shakehead# #furious#
Oh well. Cant win them all and we are still in the competition. Unlucky lads. #clap#

how about we give reading some credit people. Reading have given alot of tough sides good games this year including chelsea. I just thought fergie made to many changes. One of two was enough. When you start making wholesale changes you just create uncertainty. I must say the pitch didn't look good at all.

Reading played without hunt, lita, and hahneman in the starting XI so we should have capitalized... At least it wasnt a prem match Chelsea have gotten extremely easy draws so far so i hope that they get arsenal next round (if arsenal win); i watched some of the Chelsea v Norwich match and the pitch at Stamford Bridge is horrible...Norwich GK got injured after 10 minutes because he twisted his ankle in a divot in the 6 yard box. thats my rant for today, hope we can win teh replay

Pretty lackluster performance, Ole's goal should have stood in the first half and 2-0 would have settled it but we didn't have any real drive today and in the end Reading worked their socks off for the draw and probably deserved something from the game because of it. Their keeper also had a decent game where as ours looked shaky throughout and kept that hope alive for them, a disappointing performance and result but at least we're not out of the cup and have a chance to set things right in the replay, I hope.

As always I shouldn't be writing after huge disappointments but... Ronaldo: played like he was out to spark a bust-up with Fergie! Not that he played too bad but he stopped every kind of defense work after the first 15 minutes. Lets just hope it was because of his virus! Saha: I don't care if a player shows signs of lost self-confidence like poor first touches and passive movements in the attack. But when a player opts not to pass a ball to a team mate during a fifty yard run just to waste a win for the team, then he should fucking play Tennis! #furious# #furious# #furious# #furious# #nono# It's really time for Smith to make the Squad the next game. Maybe I'm just so pissed off because I lost half my ass betting but I really think this replay hurts

Fletcher was our best player Tomasz did okay I thought, there was nothing he could have done about the goal, and one part he even shouted at Vidic. That takes lots of bronze. Still, we could have, should won, but, I think they'll be easier away as they'll be expected to go forward.
