I'm never going to predict a match score ever again. I feel so betrayed. And I was supposed to have some nice sex today!! Can't bother now. WTF is up with VDS? 2nd game in a row now, butter-fingers. Future opposition is gonna take note on that; I pray he sorts himself out. As for the own-goal .. no comment. Awful. Richardson should never start a match for us ever again. i agree about richardson, he hasnt shown anything...i liked this lad, he "was" becoming a great player...but now he has stopped....he doesnt even deserves to be on the bench...DAMN THOSE INJURIES!!!!! Ditto....Richardson was becoming a good player, and i liked him, but i think the blame has to fall partially on SAF as much as on Kieran--you DONT put someone into a vital game after not having played him the whole season; the boy obviously isn't prepared for it (match fitness, mentally prepared) if you want to play him put him in after we're a few up....

Can't believe we did that, I actually felt quite confident before this game (which is a rarity these days as I'm usually a nervous wreck thinking the worst) even though I knew Pompy would make it difficult, but then I saw our line up with players in there that just aren't good enough, especially when we have more than one of them in the team, and it cost us BIG TIME.
I just can't understand why Richardson continually gets another chance, if today doesn't seal his fate then there's no justice in the world. Fletcher was only just back from injury and was pretty ineffectual (though I think he was onside with that run he made in the first half), Rooney was poor today, Giggs was wasteful when moved into the middle, Carrick wasted two great opportunities to at least hit the target, Ronaldo did the same, VDS gifted them their goals, and we looked like the pressure got to us.
I really do fear the worst now for the rest of the season, we desperately need players back from injury otherwise I can see us being heartbroken come the end of the season as Chelsea just don't look like losing whether they play shite or not and those 3 away games on the run at Everton, City, and Chelsea are going to be a nightmare.

lets not do a repeat of last year where we go week to week saying. "lets hope chelsea drop points"
3pt lead. ahead in GD if we do loes to chelsea.
we had our share of luck now chelsea are having theirs. i find it hard to say they will drop points. pressure is on us. as it always has been since gameweek 1

Very disappointing result. No width from the start - Richardson's just shite and Fletch isn't a winger. Ronaldo looked pretty ineffective to me playing down the middle.
There's not much to say about Richardson really that hasn't been said already in this thread, but Fergie very rarely takes players off at half time, but he did take Lord Snooty off today thank god. This is perhaps an indication of how badly he was playing. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of him this season, and he'll be on his bike to another club come the summer.
Today was also my first visit to Fratton Park, and I was surprised at what a fucking dump it was. A right hole.
Anyway, you gotta give credit to Pompey, they played very well. Now let's move on, and hopefully get past Roma on tuesday.

I had a vision today that Chelsea were lifting the Premiership trophy and I heard the commentry too. Then we lost..... Are you forgetting Chelsea have to go away to Arsenal? ..and are United going to roll over at Stamford bridge? I think not. As Fergie said, if you'd have offered us this at the start of the season after the way its panned out the last 2 years, we'd all have grabbed it with both hands. Also, look at the remaining fixtures for both sides and tell me you wouldn't rather be in United's position. Fergie won't let them capitulate, the loss to West Ham really got us playing again, let's hope this one does the same in one of the most important weeks of the season. The only thing i'm worried about is Van Der Sar's form, because people wouldn't be on here moaning now if he didn't concede 3 pointless goals in the last 2 games, and one deflected goal. Needs to pick it up. Nev is back for our next league game, he'll be around the rest of the season and when he's here, there won't be mistakes like today again..

Premiership is a must win for me...forget CL n FA at the moment..I WANT MY TROPHY BACK!! i understand that, but i think cl is very important, i wouldnt mind united to lift the trophy next season rather than this, but we are still in it and why dont we go for it u know what i mean...and fa cup, watford isnt that hard of a fixture, they shouldnt be underestimated because its an fa cup semi final ffs. watford are nearly as good as relegated and their only chance is fa cup, and united have to win the semi final, a tough game for sure, but shouldnt be too hard...and if we win we dont have to care about the fa cup until the final and the final is after the premiership is over, and the premiership trophy will be taken BACK IN MAY AGAINST CHELSKI!!!!! i just hope we can still make it in the cl...we have always been so unlucky in the cl...after 99...but fa cup and the league looks to go our way this season...still good, chelski have never won a double...hahahah....SAME OLD CHELSEA ALWAYS CHEATING!

I think we still have many chances to win all 3 of them! we must keep our mind clear and dnt think too much. About KR i think sir Alex wanted to give some rest to Giggsy who played a lot this season but its true when u say he doesn't let him play too much!!! I like him as player and i hope he will finally have his chance sometimes soon

i'm not even gonna comment on the game, its too painful to talk about. but i just wanna say that i'm so glad that the chelsea game has been pushed to the end of the season. that gives us time now to regroup and get us some momentum and some points before we have to play them. hopefully they drop points when they play arsenal and we buck up and get max points from our games from now on. and for fuck's sake...NO MORE KIERAN RICHARDSON GODDAMMIT!!!!

CL is important mate...but winning is England for me is far more important. I wanna concentrate on it at the moment. Yes FA is not very hard for us right now, but let us also not underestimate them. One thing that I'd like to clarify is that I would rather win just the Premier League and loose everything else. I want us to see this through. Yeah if we win CL or FA, along with Premier League, then I will consider either of them as bonuses. But EPL first please.

2-1. Although we improved second half, we did create chances we still always looked weak down the centre of defence. I'm not gonna tlak about Rio and VDS, im sure the ABU will have their never-used-before-lines about that. Giggs found good space when he came on, and w/ Ronaldo and eventually Ole we had a decent threat down both sides. Sad Smithy didnt get the heroes touch, what is it about keepers playing the best game of the season against United? It really pisses me off.
Fletcher has impressed me again, i like him and am glad the lads back. I don't know whats goin on in central defense and the triangle w/ the keeper. Hope Fosters watching to learn what not to do, cant wait for Vidic to be back.
Whilst Ronaldo and Rooney do work so well together, playing em both up front sends the team off balance as they are both looking around and coming short to get the ball in space.
Now, that leads me to my next point. That F$&kwit twat wearing no.23, nice chest there for the goal, nice crosses into the first defender, other than that i hardly noticed he was playing at all.
i hate our away games at fratton park, i really do.
A major positive to take from this loss is that we kept attacking in second half, and even when they went 2 up on 88, we still launched men forward and our boys kept looking for the ball and trying to score which we managed. We almost recorded a miracle comeback too, but we did not throw the towel in. We did not lay down. We will need that fighting attitude, that typically Ferguson never die mentality against Roma in wed morn. Pace down the flanks we will also need, (along with the relegation of Richardson to the position of U/12's boot cleaner).
3 points now, we cannot throw this away. We will fight and attack attack attack 'till its over.
We'll Never Die.
