first away premiership match against a great side with an experienced manager, but still a team we have always played quite good against, i expect an entartaining match, a tough one for sure, but i think this time luck will be on our side and we will win 2-1.

Hopefully the boys will be coming out looking to release some aggression, I don't think pompey will play like Reading did and we will have a better game, we might see Carlos earlier with Rooney probably out.

I am definately sure Tevez will start against Portsmouth, plus we want to eliminate last season's humiliation there with Rio's silly own goal after VDS messed it up That said, David James was phenomenal last season and we need to put any chance we get past him. A tight affair is on the offing and I sincerely hope we can do it this time. Hey even a 1-0 win for us wont be bad.

i agree, although i feel that after the reading performance its time to let tevez loose, fergie has already said he was impressed with his training and with the chance of wayne being out we will need some threat up front. We lacked that instinct first time out and pompey will be tricky at home. we will win but we need to come out and be convincing.

I expect Portsmouth to give us a hard game. I don't think it will be easy. It will be another close game. 1-0, 2-1. Who knows, it could be a thriller, 3-2.
Will Evra stay on the left wing? If he does, I have a feeling that Silvestre will have the job of marking Nugent. That could be a good battle.
I do feel that we were trying to be too extravagant against Reading at times. We can't really fault our possession in that game, but if we had kept it that little bit more simple, Reading wouldn't have had a kick.
Just a feeling, but I can see Nani introducing his great corkscrew backflip to the Premiership on Wednesday.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, another feeling I have, to the boy who believes we should sell Giggs, the great man will put in a performance to prove why he is here to stay. Forever.

I'm not looking forward to this game Pompey always seem to do well against us at their ground but its a must win game now after yesterday.
What’s worse is that we are quite capable of dropping points to both Pompey and City away like has happened in recent seasons, at least these 2 games should show more so if we are really up for retaining out title.

Yep, we have to win. It's always a tough game down there, and I reckon we won't win. 1-1 draw for me.

As you have said , a very tough game. We nearly always struggle there. I just hope we have our scoring boots on , and push and attack from the get go. We just need to , no more mistakes. Let's get this season up and running fast ! I hate to think it , but I feel Fergie will play the same formation we played against Reading , but will have Teves replacing Rooney.
My line-up would be something a la this :
VDS Brown Rio Vida Evra Carrick Owen Scholes Ronaldo Tevez Giggs

i would like scholes to be replaced for this one by hargreaves, and i would like to see giggs on the left while anderson goes just under tevez who will be upfront.
