Sick win. The performance was pretty good and I liked the way Nani played.

Good win but how many more 1-0's can we take ? I thought Nani was the pick of the forwards despite Rooney scoring. Tevez did well when he came on, but Saha was fairly anonymous. However, it was a good team performance and "nearly" there. We are going to take someone apart soon!

yer it was quite another ground out performance, TK had a very good game, nani was superb, and carrick excell too, and of course wazza was brilliant we're getting there in terms of everyone knowing each others game, when everyone learns to play together we'll be devastating i'm sure
and carlitos was brilliant when he came on so much heart and passion in his game, defended like a lion and was dangerous attacking too, it's coming together, very pleased

lucky win tbh.
but we can see the team becoming better and better together.
nani looks good attacking and when he puts in his qualities, but his passes are bad.
anderson is also looking better and better, hopefully he will come good soon.
rooney should be back now, good to see him to score.

Sure sure he is a genius. The question was if SAF will ever sub him. Surely Scholes can be rested as well. Give Anderson a chance against Wigan.

1-0 to the fergie boysssss
Becoming a common result for us.. tbh i dnt mind that.. were winning and not conceding goals so thats fantastic! The goals will come with time and with wazza back in goalscoring form and ronaldo looking sharper i fear for wigan this saturday!
Tonight we were quite lucky i fell cos roma missed some really good chances. a draw would have probably been a fairer result but wel take the 3 points with delight. Hope rooney can go on a goalscoring run and the others start chipping in aswel. Scholesy needs a goal big time!

TK was good. not the best of matches to come into but he did good, and surely he will get the confidence boost he needs to be there for us when we need him.
last season it seemed that we lacked abit of trust in him. we felt abit unsure with him in goal. but now surely the team him and we feel quite safe when he is in goal. i think he will come us good.

Maybe I watch too much Spanish football - but I really enjoyed tonight's game. Best game so far this season (OK, I know that doesn't sound too impressive!) - good passing, some slick skills and a decent amount of ambition. Still not many good chances as opposed to half ones but things heading in the right direction.
What was odd about United was the sheer number of errors, coming even from players who were playing well (like Nani) and players who are normally safe even when they aren't at their most dynamic (like Scholes). At first I wondered if they were all wearing the wrong studs, but even that wouldn't have accounted for it. Too tense maybe because of this not scoring thing?
Anyway - thought Kuszczak did his job well. Rio was very good - he had to be! Ronnie seems to be specialising in second half performances at the moment. Roo was starting to look the part again - some good touches to go with the excellent goal, but still got a way to go fitness wise as well as sharpness wise, I think.

I think we're starting to gel; slowly but surely. Nani did well in attack, but had a couple of stray passes that put us in trouble at the back. However, he was quite creative on the wing. I was also pleased with some of Anderson's touches in his brief spell at the end. I think that both these guys should be given a chance against Wigan; be it from the bench or the starting 11. It's a shame about Hargreaves, but we do need him fit for the Xmas period. Hopefully, the Neviller will return soon as O'Shea looked lost at sea. Anyhow, it's another 3 points in the bag, and should we get 4 or more points off 'chicken' Kiev we're through. Happy days!

WAYNE ROONEY last night conquered the Romans — but Cristiano Ronaldo’s face was left in ruins. Manchester United scraped past the Italians thanks to Roo’s first goal for more than five months.
But winger Ronaldo was bloodied after a late clash with Roma sub Mirko Vucinic.
United boss Alex Ferguson claimed: “I did not see it but Cristiano said he was elbowed.
“He had four stitches in his eyebrow.
“It was unfortunate because the game was played in a good spirit and there was a good atmosphere. “There is always a possibility an incident in a match of this kind can set things off — particularly after our 7-1 win here last season. But congratulations to both sets of players.”
Rooney’s 70th-minute winner was his first goal since he scored in the 4-2 victory at Everton on April 28.
Ferguson added: “Great movement and passing created the opening and it was an excellent goal.
“It is only Wayne’s fourth match since coming back from injury and he is still trying to get rhythm and match fitness.
“But it will do him good to score, especially when goals are expected of him.”
United have won six of their last eight games 1-0.
Ferguson admitted: “It’s a disease and we are trying to get a vaccine for it.”
United are now top of Champions League Group F with two wins from two.
Fergie insisted: “Ten points will get us through and we have six. We now have two games against Dinamo Kiev.
“I don’t want to be going to Rome for the last game needing a result.”
