i had never really seen pique and simpson play before but they were excellent, its good to no we have quality replacements[or starters]. anderson was amazing today i agree with what someone else said that he is learning of scholes which is a good thing. tevez was quality aswell i can't really pick a motm but it would be out of pique, simpson, anderson, tevez, ronaldo. also kushack made a quality save! where did we get simpson from did he come through the ranks?

First half bloody awful. Second half a bit of class from rooney and tevez opened the flood gates against a very poor wigan side. They had no intentions of playing any football so I take the 4 goals with a pinch of salt.
Ok alot of the terrible play can be linked to a blitz of injuries in that half but I still think we need to get that intensity quicker.

Yeah he came through the youth set-up. He was on loan at Sunderland last season from January. I think he was at Antwerp before that I saw him playing for them a few times on tv, tuning in to watch Evans, and was really impressed. Regular first team action brought him on leaps and bounds. He could eventually take over from Gary Neville neville if he continues developing like he should.

2nd half was a pleasure to watch (inbetween the Rugby ;D ) Thought Anderson was fantastic, we've seen Carrick giving the ball to Scholes for the last year to do something with it, but i was quite amazed today to see Scholesy giving the ball to Anderson to create Rooney and Tevez really is just like watching 2 Rooney's run around all over the place, quite funny some of the time but others you literally see them both making identical runs, still not sure on that one, but when teams open up, which will happen especially in Europe and away from home, they should have some luck. We could have some dire first halves at Old Trafford coming our way, so many teams will come and sit there

Good win. Atmosphere was ok but we played well. Some great performances. Anderson was great when he came on. Full of energy. Ronaldo was running at them throughout, Tevez never stopped and derserved his goal. Man of the match for me. Simpson and Pique didn't put a foot wrong. Plenty of positives today and finally, a beating!

Yeh its nice to be back to really beating people again!
In some ways its nice that Anderson, Simpson and Pique all got a chance to show what they can do. Anderson looked energetic skillful and did some superb passes. Simpson has obviosly got a nice cross on him which is always a big + for a full back. Pique didnt put a foot wrong.
I love Tevez already, Gabriel Who?

by the way i have said it since the start of the season we never had enough bodies in the box, and now we get those bodies in the box, tevez is settled, nani maybe has a bit to go especially when it comes to his passing but looks good otherwise.
anderson is brilliant and we can certainly get more out of him against teams like this.
simpson showed that he has potential in him. and can provide the back up we may need.
pique surely is one of our future player, versatile at the back and has qualities as well.

I was a good opportunity to start pique in midfield today but I thought him and simpson had really good second halfs and I hope they continue to show some of that quality.

Tempo only seems to come in the second half of games, we could help ourselves by starting quickly. Just what was needed today- goals.

They had no intentions of playing any football so I take the 4 goals with a pinch of salt. The quality of the opposition doesn't really mean a lot to me to be honest. United needed to score goals. Every game this season we've had a shit load of attempts, and we couldn't convert them. Us not being able to convert our great chances had little to do with the quality of the opposition. So today, to be creating a shit load of chances, AND being able to finish them, means a lot. Some proper classy football from the boys today, I was really impressed. So pleased with Tevez. We've just been needing to turn it on all season. To do it without the amount of players we have out is brilliant. It's going to be a different story next week against Villa, will be a lot tougher. But to be putting away our goals, and keeping yet another clean sheet with so many defenders and our keeper out, is brilliant stuff.
