OWEN Hargreaves is hoping for a European double celebration on Wednesday against Dynamo Kiev.
The former European Cup winner is set to toast his Champions League debut for United and wants to mark the occasion by helping the Reds secure their passport to the knockout stage.
A win for Sir Alex Ferguson's side against the Ukrainians, coupled with Sporting Lisbon failing to take all three points in Portugal against Roma, will see United home with two games to spare.
If Sporting lose, the Reds could afford a draw to book their place in the next stage with the last two games played as empty rubbers.
After a 4-2 win in Kiev, Hargreaves is expecting a United win at Old Trafford to be a given.
"They were quite poor over in Kiev," said the midfielder.
"In fact I thought they were surprisingly poor for a Champions League team. To concede four goals at home is very rare at that level.
"I am sure they will try better here to redeem themselves a bit but it is a game at Old Trafford for us and we are expected to win it.
"If we do that we should be through to the next round. That will be our goal on Wednesday."MEN _________________________________________________ Another 4-2 wouldn't be so bad! He wasn't even playing was he fuck! They scored two bloody goals and didn't try to beat us one nil by penalty! Credit to that! I'd rather have Hargo concentrating on his football (especially the passing) and on staying fit and only after that thinking about whether he wants to put himself in a line with Drogba for making stupid and disrespectful comments in the papers.

He seems to be coming out with a few comments and considering he has hardly played, its not right to be coming out with all this. He needs to just get on with it and stay quiet. Very disrespectful.

Hrgreaves has been pretty much unlucky this season with his injury and pointing the finger against him its not fair.
What we should say about Saha who is always injured? Before judging like that we must stop and think about it very well before speaking; And only bcos he didn't played too much football doesn't mean he didn't have the right to talk or made comments he only expressed his opinion maybe he could have done that in another way with nice words but he spoke what it was the true for him.

Nobody is claiming that he hasn't been injured but instead of making comments about Arsenal or Dynamo Kiev, he should be concentrating on getting match fit and staying fit.

I wish a lot more players would just get on with their football rather than making time for silly interviews, especially when the subject has nowt to do with them or their own performance. I love European nights, hopefully won't be too hard a match and three points would be good, then three points is always favourable eh

He should worry about getting better as soon as possible so he could contribute to the team. Talking won't do much for gaining points.

Footballers should always let their feet talking, whether it's Hargreaves or Drogba it doesn't matter.

He just expressed himself...does it wrong? he might have said things in another way,ok but making comments its not a crime. Dnt attack him just bcos he cannot talk with his feet as he wish. Im sure he's the first to feel uncomfortable not being able to play and show his value.
Dnt know but i can't see anything wrong in his comments.

Ya but why is he saying that a few nights before the game? If I were a Dynamo player that would motivate me to play better or possibly even target Hargreaves which is not what we need. And like people have said he didnt even play in the game so why is he coming out and saying this stuff.

Funny i didn't knew it that if u're not playing u dnt have the right to speak!

I think Hargo needs to focus on the game and making it into the starting XI, witht the emergence of Anderson and Carrick as possibilities to partner with Scholesy, and not make this comments which can only serve to piss off the oppisite team. I think if we get a quick goal it would kill their morale, I hope we go out there and do it clean and professionally and progress to the next round.

gonna change my team:
TK oshea, Rio, vida, evra Ron, Carrick, Hargreaves, nani Rooney/tevez, Saha
bench: VDS, Simpson, Pique, brown, fletcher, Anderson, tevez/rooney.
thats what i think, and probably be the likes of that.
