Did you'll see Totti play? I did not. Pique had him in his pocket. We were very good in the opening half. Probably the introduction of De Rossi and the fact that Roma could not afford to lose spurred them on in the second. Fantastic result for me. Well done lads. Well done. P.S - I'm new in here

Did you'll see Totti play? I did not. Pique had him in his pocket. I heard a few so called fans say that Pique was not up to the job after the Bolton defeat. While it is still early days, I think that he's proving that he has the ability to mix at this level and be a United player of the "here and now" (let alone the future!) Barca must be livid... It's one of the reasons why I wouldn't be that upset to see Wes go (from a football perspective anyway.)

A good show by the youngsters especially playing away in a CL fixture. This will certainly build up confidence and hopefully provide more playing time for them.

Pretty Good result, taking all things into account. Rooney played like a mad man at times all over the pitch, definately showed he is Captain material. Evans and Pique were pretty solid, Eagles didn't do anything amazing but he sure was confident and thats good to see. Dong look horrendous, really killed my prediction of him scoring the hat trick. Does anybody know if last years away kit is really our third kit this year because I spent the first 15 Mins really confused about that.

Did anyone else think Wes was a bit shite when he came on? I hope this contract stuff isn't playing on him. On the whole right back issue, Simpson was great again tonight. Really impressed with him. I'd put him into any game now. Watched Hutton for Rangers, who we've been linked with recently. He's brilliant going forward but his positional sense is all over the place. He was badly caught out on a couple of occasions. I thought Nani was pretty good tonight too. Looked hungry and imposed himself on the game. Finally, credit to Saha. THat was much more like it from Louis. He just needs a goal from somewhere! But that was more like his old self.

Fromm BBC WEB #furious# Five Manchester United fans were stabbed ahead of the club's European Champions tie against Roma. Violence erupted between a group of 50 rival fans on a bridge near the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Police used two baton charges to disperse the fans. It is not known if any British nationals were arrested. The last time the two teams met in April, 11 fans were taken to hospital after violence in the stadium. The stab injuries are not said to be serious. Consular officials are at the hospital where the fans have been taken. It is reported that two others, one of them a 16-year-old boy, needed treatment for the effects of drink. A Foreign Office spokesman said the situation outside and inside the stadium was "calm." Hooligan warning He said: "It appears there was trouble outside the stadium. "A number of British fans were injured and two British nationals have been arrested. "Our consular officials are on the way to the hospital to check on conditions, the numbers involved and whether anyone needs assistance. "The situation is now said to be calm both outside and inside the stadium." The violence flared at the Pont Duca d'Aosta bridge, the scene of many clashes between visiting fans and Roma's Ultras contingent. Last season there was trouble during the two clubs' Champions League game in Rome when fans were charged and beaten by riot police trying to regain control in the stadium. Scuffles also broke out outside Old Trafford during the second leg of the tie, with 21 people arrested. Greater Manchester Police officers travelled to Rome before Tuesday's game and issued a warning to hooligans not to attend. Itallian football is sick, they need to face the music.....if it was English fans what do you think would happen!

Thought it was a battling result last night. Was pleased with the overall performance although I will pick out Chris "My Haircut Is Best" Eagles for looking poor and out of his depth.
