vs Barclays Premiership 26 December 2007 Stadium of Light KO: 15.00 GMT My expected starting XI : PIG
Brown - Rio - Vida - Evra
Ronaldo - Hargreaves - Anderson - Giggs (or maybe Nani?)
Tevez - Rooney I really don't want any rotations in the starting lineups for this match and the WHU one, maybe with the exception of Giggsy. We should rotate when we're at home, like the new years game, but not these two. Though I fear Sir Alex might do a Rafa and plan mass rotations. I hope to God he doesn't do so. Anyway, bring on Keano !!

I don't really see a need to change anything, if Hargreaves and Rio are fit then they will probably be the only two changes that Fergie makes. I hope to see Ji get a little playing time from the bench, the addition of him will be a great help.

Whoever is playing... Sunderland shouldn't be underestimated.
I'd like to see them have a real go, instead of the recent defensive/counter attacking away from home.

There will be a few changes to squad. Roy Keane will really pump Sunderland up for this one. Frankly, I don't see them scoring but some shit always happens against us, deflected strike or scrappy goal...or whatever.. We must score couple of times to be safe. 3 points for the taking.

I don't sell anyone short, but after their recent performances I just don't see them coming close to beating us if we have a full strength side out there. If we play a weakened side and they're up for the match then we might have some problems.

I think this game all depends on how many players Fergie rests. If he plays a strong team we should beat them comfortably. But if he makes a lot of changes we could well have problems here, and with Arsenal having a tough game at Pompey later on we need to put pressure on them by winning.

I hope that we don't regret that line up. O'Shea and Carrick were shit on Sunday. Saha needs to do something today.

Not the most inspiring looking team selection, hope the performance is better than the feeds.

Nice result, comfortable performance. Picked up no injuries, Ronaldo come off after 55 or so minutes and Saha got a few goals for his confidence.
Another clean sheet too.
Rested Giggsy, Anderson, Tevez & Evra and gave some of the fringe players a run out, with Parky making his return from injury since March. So all in all a good Boxing day.
It couldn't have been much better for United, Chelsea drew (Carvalho and Cole missing for three games now), Liverpool struggled to beat and if Arsenal drop points against Pompey we'll remain top of the league.
Well done the lads, Rooney was my man of the match and Nani showed some good signs that he's settled well at United. So happy for Louis.
