Can we not beat West Ham? I can't believe Ronnie missed that penalty, Anderson should have been playing from the out set I don't understand why Fletch was playing today. Because Fergie's stubborn. That's why fletch plays. We shouldn't have messed this up, we underestimate teams, teams WE KNOW are going to give us a tough match if given the chance to. Go on Everton... them doing us a favour is the only thing that could make today good.

Shocking. Absolutely shocking. One of the worst performances from us in ages. Really, really awful. It's not as if we weren't expecting West Ham to play like demons against us. They deserved to win, as painful as it is to say it. The passing was shite. And Fletcher had one of his worst ever games for us. So we take Hargreaves off and leave Fletcher on? FFS. O' Shea on as a centre forward when we're chasing a goal? Bollox. We should have taken the chance to relegate those bastards last May.

I agree, but Tevez shouldnt have gone off, the only one who, imo, looked fully into it and passionate the rest looked like it didnt matter. Ronaldo got stuck in defensively which surprised me but attacking he was shit bar a few through balls, same goes for Saha without the defensive bit.

rooney had a virus, I ain't gonna be to harsh because I thought the whole team looked tired. The defence was excellent until the last 10 minutes but that was a result of some real pressure from west ham. The selection in midfield was totally wrong, hargreaves and fletcher are to similar and anderson should of started but saha and tevez weren't great and despite his goal ronaldo was non exsistent at times. West ham dominated most of the game and deserved to win really.

Most unlike United performance i've seen for a long time. Didn't try to wrap the game up or look for a goal once we scored. Just sat back, allowed them possession and hoped we'd hang on.
Complacency setting in again. Have to have one of these performances every now and agin it seems for us to keep picking the best available team.
Come on Super Phil et al

For me the blame lies with 2 people, Fletcher and Fergie.
Fletcher was caught out on both goals and is the main reason why we lost.
Fergie thinks bringing on O'Shea to win games and keeping Giggs as captain is a good idea. He also thinks Fletcher who has 5 minutes worth of good play a game is good enough for United.

And yet we scorn supporters like newcastle for getting on there players back? Cynical...hypocritical....and quite frankly ridiculous what some of you do to players like fletcher In search of a valid reason for winning a game we did not deserve to win you take a scapegoat and the best manager britain has ever seen. Fergie has a certain amount of blame to take, which im sure he will. His team selection wasn't wrong, as such, it just didn't work as planned. Fletcher is one player, and he does not deserve to be blamed for a game which was not his fault. ronaldo 18 goals in 18 games.....misses a penalty...bread and butter for him, why dont we blame him?? Ryan Giggs, for 15 years has been a constantly class player, but what has he done this season? What has he done i nthe last 4 years baring last season infact? He does not score enough goals and we seem to use his 'experience' as an excuse as well as his decoration to pick ihm week after week. Why shant we blame him?? Im not saying we should or will But fletcher does not deserve it so stop looking for a scapegoat and move on from the defeat and lets go on a run that we know we can

Really Quite Pee'd off with this!!
What makes it worse is that I would have won £100 quid if Ronaldo scored first and we won 2-0 which I believe we would of if he'd done what he "never" fails to.
Argh!! I Suppose this is just one of those days, we come back strong after results like this so we've just got to hope Everton do something.

Took the lead, went into half-time in front, missed a penalty, conceded 2 set-piece goals. Probably a fortnight routine for many mid-table teams.
It just wasn't our day. West Ham pressed and made sure our key players had to earn space themselves. They were doing very well until Solano and Parker went off, then we were in control ... until Ron missed the PK. From then on it was all Hammers again.
Like I wrote on the main wall: bad day, stuff happens. I think we just made the wrong substitutions. Not the players going on, but those going off. Tevez shouldn't have gone off, Fletcher should have. And Hargo definitely shouldn't have gone off.
It's really disappointing, but I'll only really start to worry if it has a major psychological effect on the players. Like when we lost @ Wolves in '04, coupled with Rio's suspension. If we can get back on track ASAP vs Birmingham, then it's OK. We're still in the mix.
The thing I'm worried about most though is the away trips to Rovers, Boro, Reading, Spurs and Chelsea. Those have just become oh so crucial now.
