if fletcher was picking up anton and upson I am even more pissed, surely these players need to be picked up by vidic and rio. The team selection was wrong but the fact is we scored against the run of play and were fortunate to be ahead at half time. I was actually saying to myself its a matter of time before they score. Our team has plenty of experience and I don't understand why we didn't press more in there half like we have been doing and get some possession. One thing I have learnt is that anderson must always play in scholes absence. He didn't start at bolton and we lost, he didn't start today and we lost. You can get away with it against sunderland but not teams like west ham.

Oh yeah, why was Tevez playing on the left wing in the 2nd half? Fucking 4-5-1. Exactly! When Tevez moves onto the left wing he becomes completely ineffective. It's also interesting to note that in the three games we've lost this season (City, Bolton and West Ham), Rooney hasn't been playing.

The only slightly amusing thing today was seeing a big Asian family with two small kids of about three or four years old were in the United end. Of course we're all stood up so the poor guys can't see a thing. By the end of the game they were fast asleep lol.

Disappointing, but the only thing we can do is pick ourselves up and win the next game which I'm sure we will do.

So, surely a well planted bomb around Green St, East London would cheer us all up?

I'm sorry but firstly Fletcher was one of the better players on the pitch today. Hargreaves was fucking shite (what happened to protecting the back four?), Anderson should've been playing from the start. Fletch always puts in 100% effort into games, unlike some players such as Saha who had an awful game today, and put no effort in at all. And people are always criticising Giggs at Old Trafford and away games, but he played the perfect ball for our goal today and set up a great chance for Nani, so lay off him. But I blame the management more than the players. Ridiculous decision to leave out Anderson, who really is playing well at the moment. Also, the tactics were fucking stupid. The idea was to nick a goal, and then put Tevez on the left wing and play 4-5-1 with Saha up on his own. That just meant we were sitting back really deep, and invited West Ham onto us. We should've kept with 4-4-2 and attacked West Ham. If being at fault for both goals is Fletcher with 100% commitment, i'd say United have a problem there. He also disappeared from the 10th minute to the 90th, as is usually the case, 10 minutes where he looks capable of playing for United then the rest a waste of time. Hargreaves was also the only reason we didn't lose by more

Ok I was at the game and the goals were at the other end, and I haven't watched them on tv so I didn't know Fletcher was at fault for not picking up the goalscorers. Fair enough.
But about Hargreaves I thought he was awful yesterday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- We should have relegated those bastards last May when we had the chance. The team we put out that day was under strength and unfair on Sheffield Utd. We're regretting it today.

TBH, the loss of the three points (or the one we barely deserved) is not the issue here. Doesn't hurt much. Half a season left, we always have time to make up. What hurts is the performance put in by each one wearing that red jersey. No determination, no devotion and no dedication. Apart from the goal, we created air bubbles on the pitch. A few tactical decisions baffled too, particularly taking Tevez off.
We missed Roonster. But that is not an excuse. We still had Rio, Vida, Hargo, Rondo, Saha, Evra, Brown on the pitch. Saha is not fit enough or if he is, he is not upto what he should be. Fletcher doesn't impress in a 4-4-2. All seemed lost. We missed the spark. Defeat with a good performance such as the one at Citeh can be accepted, not inept displays for making up the numbers like today. Yes, may be if Rondo had put the spot kick in, we might have come away with the points, but nonetheless, it still doesn't hide what a bland poor 90minutes we had. Hopefully, the last of the season.
And if someone is near Cesc, please shoot him in the balls and tell him that is when he should be rolling like he did today. The petulant arrogant bastard is overdue.
Au revoir a splendid 2007!

Sir Alex Ferguson was magnanimous in defeat as United slipped to a dramatic 2-1 reverse at West Ham, conceding that the Hammers had been clearly the better side.
After only a third league defeat of the season, however, the United manager admits his side need to embark on a long winning run as the season enters a nitty-gritty stage.
"We didn't play well, particularly in the first half," Sir Alex told MUTV. "They were very aggressive, tackled everywhere and we never got our game going.
"I don't think we deserved to be in front to be honest with you. They were the better team, they had two or three attempts, hit the bar, had a few efforts scrambled away from our penalty area and really we just didn't perform.
"I still couldn't see us losing, but losing two goals from set pieces tells you everything. If you're losing goals at set-pieces then there's something wrong, your performance isn't at the top level. You can't afford to do that."
While at a loss to explain United's below-par display at Upton Park, Sir Alex - who served the first of a two-match touchline ban - is all too aware of the need to avoid such slips going into the second half of the season.
"Sometimes you have to say that, from time to time, human beings are going to have a bad performance," he said. "I can't pick out a player who played well for us today, and that tells the story. "It's a rare disappointment, we don't usually get as bad a performance as that. I think we need to go on a long run now because you're coming to the crucial part of the season. In many ways the season starts on January 1st.
"The run-in involves the Champions League and FA Cup, it's a congested fixture list and you have to have the squad and you have to have players performing properly."
