The moment where Rooney burst his balls to try and win a pass from Campbell, then got shoved to the ground, proceeded to get up and rob the ball back of him whilst playing Ronaldo through in one movement was just awesome.
It actually summed up why I love Wayne Rooney in one moment. Desire and Skill. What a player, raging he didnt score.
And Ronaldo, jesus, the boy is sensational.

Ronaldooooooooooooooooo. Fuckin' genius that lad.
We should have had so many goals, Anderson's goal would've been amazing.
Good result, back to the top we go.

Come on United !!! What a game. Super Ronnie. What can i say, great performance for Ronaldo, super freekick. Rooney performed well again but just can't seem to make that final touch. Evra was class tonight, he really played well and worked throughout the game non-stop. As soon as Anderson came on his play was wonderful and very influential as well as our play went, shame he didn't get his first with that superb effort though. Scholes seems to be back in it for us, never put one foot wrong tonight, although does he ever !? As always our defence was top-notch. It was an interesting formation from SAF, putting Ronaldo up front, but although it seemed to work for us tonight I don't think he should play that way against the bigger clubs. All in All great performance from the lads. That's the stuff Dreams are made of ! Come on United !!!

I thought all the players did well, from the get go it never looked like Pompey had a chance, the first half was amazing. The only disappointment was Ji, he played amazingly, but I thought he could have bagged a goal or two with some of his opportunities.

Good performance from the lads. Ronaldo was brilliant again and his free kick was superb. There seemed to be about a second before the crowd celebrated that goal as most were stunned by what they saw. I think Wayne was sometimes trying too hard and at times he looked knackered, but a good performance none the less. Vidic and Rio were excellent as always. Scholes was like we had given a 20 year old his debut the way he was pinging the ball around and getting about everywhere. He just makes it look so easy. Nani was ok, but sometimes I think he can't make up his mind what to do when he has the ball. Some people in the crowd were getting on his back unnecessarily. Im still stunned that we only got 2. Played well though.
2 things got to me tonight though. 1. Why is it that when Michael Carrick loses the ball, he just stands there instead of trying to get it back?
and
2. Portsmouth had just 700 fans with them. Why is a game between 2 sides miles away from each other getting played midweek at 8pm?

Hmm somewhat of a training session, Portsmouth weren’t with it at all. 3 points bagged, lovely.
Wonder goal by Ronaldo. Best free kick in Premiership history? Some are saying so.

Hey guys, this is a fantastic site for highlights, www.tvgolo.com/football.phpAs for the match, i was extremely sick with the flu this morning, the worst headache of my life, and this really made my day. After the goals tho, i really expected a 5-7 goal match.

What a game!!! I'm still half asleep cos I only got back 3 1/2 hours ago But I was also surprised about the pompey support. When I saw the steward division in an unusual place I did wonder. Atmosphere was the best midweek one Ive witnessed for a long time. How did we keep the united calypso going for the first ten minutes straight?! They guys above me didn't give me a break for breath!

I'm beginning to see why Cesc loves Ronnie soo much! If given the chance..... I only watched the 1st half, as the wife insisted that we watch Torchwood. I caved into her demand as Ronnie's freekick had made me horny!! I didn't miss much by all accounts. Rooney seems to be trying too hard presently; he needs to chill out a bit. I sense that a sending off is on the horizon if he doesn't score soon. Park tried hard but looks a bit weak when pressurized and tackled. Great to have Scholes back where he belongs. All-in-all a good night at the office.
