ok ok ok, I blame ROONEY for not doing his job = SCORE GOALS! Where the FCK is the Rooney that we knew 2 years ago? He can't bloddy dribble Cambell to save his life. I don't know, but does anyone agree with me that we shouldn't buy Tevez because we got Rooney and buy a REAL striker for 30 million instead of paying 30 million for Tevez ( i suppose thats the sum) you dare recommend Berbacunt.....

Well that's a shitter isn't it? I came out of the ground slating our performance, but on reflection, we weren't that dreadful. On another day, we would have won 4-0 today. Carrick's on the line, Tevez off the line, Evra off the woodwork, Vidic's header stopped by Tevez, that cut back from Evra instead of finishing inside the six yard box etc. I obviously haven't seen the replays on Ronaldo and Evra but they looked like fairly good shouts for a pen (but maybe somebody could put me straight on those?). It was just one of those days. Disconcerting we can't score a goal at home with our best XI on the part though. Gotta feel for Kus. He's the last person I'll blame though. If we'd put away the chances, he wouldn't have been left exposed, and Anderson got totally done by his man. Of all the competitions, I'm glad it's this one we lost in. I'd be beside myself if this match was the league! Evra's shout wasn't a peno, Ronaldo's was 100%. Cast iron. Incredible decision. And Rooney and Anderson were both back on the line when TK fouled Baros so he probably shouldn't have gone. But Ronaldo's was a definite.

Fuckin bollocks, can't believe we lost that game, ok we played shit and didn't seem to have much composure and belief up front but there was still more than enough there to win it.
Don't know if I wanna watch the replay of Ronaldos penalty cos it'll just piss me off, looked stone wall at the time but the ref was determined to let them get away with murder today so hardly fucking surprising.
Despite having had all the quality to really push for the treble this season we were missing one important ingredient today, a bit of luck, hopefully we'll get a bit in the remaining two comps.

Every season we say "we can win the treble" and everytime it doesnt happen it hurts Are you SERIOUS?? The Treble has been done by one English team in the history of English football in one year. You hurt every time we don't win it? Suck it up man, seriously

Suck it up man, seriously I think entering a competition and losing hurts! Thing is you can't recover from a defeat in the cup, that's it now, we won't win the FA cup for at least another season and this was our best chance in years to win it. I'd prefer to win the league yes, but this still annoys me

Damn it, there was only one team capableof doing it: The 1999 team, no other team will do it. And this current team has a long way to go.

If an English team never wins the Treble again I wouldn't be too surprised. Everything has to be perfectly balanced for a team to pull off the Treble, and I certainly won't be expecting it from United until the day we've got the league in the bag and are in two finals. If you're getting exciting about the Treble in bloody March then you're setting yourself up for the hurt!

Ferguson furious after Cup exit Ferguson demanded answers after referee Atkinson's performance Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson pointed an accusing finger at referee Martin Atkinson after the FA Cup quarter-final defeat by Portsmouth. Ferguson felt United had a penalty turned down when Sylvain Distin blocked Cristiano Ronaldo, before Sulley Muntari's late winner from the spot.
He told MUTV: "It's absolutely ridiculous. I cannot explain it.
"Managers get sacked because of things like that and he's going to referee a game next week."
United had substitute keeper Tomasz Kuszczak, on at half-time for injured Edwin van Der Sar, sent off for a foul on Milan Baros that led to Muntari's 78th minute spot-kick.
Ronaldo also revealed a lack of protection from officials had made him "scared" to play his natural game.
He said: "Sometimes I say that this is the best league in the world, but sometimes they don't protect the skilful players. "After what happened to the Arsenal player Eduardo da Silva, I am scared to do my skills.
The treatment Ronaldo is getting, I'm worried about him. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson "The referee against Portsmouth was unbelievable. In the first five minutes, there were three fouls and he took no action and then he failed to give a penalty. It's difficult to play like this.
"Sometimes they just protect the defenders and I am thinking about having to change my game because it is difficult to play like that.
"Diarra did not even try to play the ball when he tackled me and he wasn't even booked. It's a joke. So often, there were fouls and the referee did nothing."
Ferguson added: "Keith Hackett (general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Board) has got a lot to answer for in this country. He's not doing his job properly.
"He should be assessed like everyone else is assessed. I'm assessed as a manager, the players are assessed, referees are assessed. Martin Atkinson will referee next week, no problem. But his performance today should not be accepted in our game.
"I agree with Sepp Blatter, the standards in our game as opposed to the Continent, the tolerance level, is behind Europe. I think it's a big problem."
Ferguson said after his side's hopes of repeating their 1999 treble were extinguished: "The game was decided by the decision not to give us a penalty. They had great confidence to hang on knowing the referee was on their side.
"Lassana Diarra had eight or nine fouls in the match. It's incredible. I've got to agree with Arsene Wenger. Someone is going to get a serious injury in our game. He's had one himself with Eduardo.
"It's not a nice thing to talk about but, the treatment Ronaldo is getting, I'm worried about him.
"Keith Hackett is in a nice, comfortable position and does nothing really. I don't think he makes a contribution to the referees' performances in our country.
"That should be addressed. He's not doing his job properly. That guy will go and referee next week no problem. You see his favourites always get the games and that's disappointing."

WTF are you talking about? Wes was great. Ok, bad crossing .. but we don't expect much from him in that attribute. He didn't put a foot wrong all game. I agree, wes was great today! i would say that all of the lads played well, it just wasnt our day today! a lot of bad luck! Wes wasnt great today i dont care what you say... he was static and couldnt cross for toffee, and he wont sign... (which I wish he would do).

/agree. Makes me laugh how peopel say the big clubs are treated favourably. Well i ask this; if in the 6th minute, a pompey player had been in the exact same situation as Ronaldo would he have gotten a penalty? ANSWERS on the back of a postcard please...

Pissed off. I really am, because there isnt really anyone to blame bar the ref. The lads really deserved to win, but we need to finish our chances(yes Rooney, I mean you). I love Rooney and Tevez' partnership but it is scary that we dont have that confidence in a one-on-one situation, and that makes it very hard to score.
But, let keep going in the league and CL, the two I thought we'd win, I always thought Chelsea would win the FACup this season.
P.S Has anyone had any ticket trouble recently, I had a ticket for the match and a season ticketer had one in the exact same seat, the stewards thought I had some fake ticket, and I was lucky to get a seat in the end!!! I think it has something to do with the tickets for season tickets in the cup, something has gone wrong and stewards tried to pin it on me at first, cheeky bastards!!!
